There are a whole bunch of 3 colored lands that you are not utilizing. A Small, Thin, Narrow Piece Of Wood has all of them in it for reference.

Thanks for the comment mnfishwerman7, however, those lands are not as efficient as others as they come in tapped. Fetches and Shocks enable me to find the right land I need, and have it untapped if needed. Having access to 3 colours on a land is all well and good, but would you rather have access to 2 mana or 1 mana on turn 2? I could play a mana sliver, or Crystalline Sliver or other utility spell like Demonic Tutor or a Counterspell with my 2 mana when you have one. Essentially you are always a turn behind.
Thanks for having a look and your input

Doombeard1984, what are your thoughts on the new Triome Lands? Specifically:
I like them and they appeal to my inner timmy for some reason. Definitely not competitive cards, but they are just plain ol' fun. Agree? Disagree?

Tri land type fetchable lands in a 5 colour deck seems amazing, and much like you Mortlocke, my inner timmy's interest is piqued, but the coming into play tapped thing is just enough for me to say no. I am going to look at using them however in a 5 colour Reaper King deck. See if I can make em useful. Makes things like Farseek and Skyshroud Claim very tempting. What are you thinking Mortlocke, think you can find a home for em?
On a totally different note, hope you are staying safe man, in this crazy world we are currently in.

Thanks for showing interest and saving my deck jsnrice, any comments on what you think would be always appreciated

Doombeard1984 it's decent. I wish I had the money for some of these cards. The only thought I had was using the Mimeoplasm as that's one way to reincarnate any of your precious slivers that could be game changers. Who wants to play a reanimate sorcery when you can just double up a creature to do that? I take it some of your slivers will be prime targets in 3-5 player EDH.

Thanks for the comment @jsnrice. Some outside of the box thinking of using mimeoplasm, and a really interesting concept of reanimation. What would you cut for it? Its always been a struggle for me to cut things from this deck.

Sorry, that appears to be a username nit a card. Let's try that again.... The Mimeoplasm?
There you go lol

"...but what do I cut? Seriously, I havent got a clue. Need the communities help right now, because I can't seem to see the wood for the trees"
I would suggest you take another look at Eternal Witness. Putting my bias against non-slivers aside, I really don't see an elf contributing much to a Sliver tribal deck. Besides, you could just run Dregscape Sliver and have more of an impact on the board along with your new Survival of the Fittest. Regardless, i'd cut the elf to make room for Teferi's Protection - in EDH what I find more useful above all else is interaction, not creatures with keywords or useful abilities.

Mortlocke, as always the voice of sanity comes from tour side of the Hive. I won't mention anything about you calling Eternal Witness an elf....I mean, I will at least say she LOOKS like an elf lol. E-wit gives me a one shot recursion from the graveyard (usually a spell if I'm honest), where as Teferi's Protection actually means I possibly don't have to recur anything as I am just saving it anyway. As you rightly say, interaction is key. Thanks man

Truth be told if Witness is generically Elf looking LOL. Creature subtype mistakes aside, this bears repeating: Teferi's Protection will serve you and your deck better than a human elf wannabe ever will.

Hello kosta1612!!! Thanks for showing an interest in the Hive and saving it to your folder. Would be awesome to get an opinion or critique, and if you like.... you know what to do :)

"Mana Drain in - Counterflux out Vampiric Tutor in - Diabolic Intent out"
I think those are solid changes, the only reservation I have is that Counterflux is virtually uncounterable - but Mana Drain grants ramp and denies a player a spell, which is more useful in my opinion. Vampiric Tutor is leagues better than Diabolic Intent in this context, so I think that's just a solid upgrade.
When it comes to what cards I wish to include in my decks I always ask myself - how do I want to interact with my opponents when playing this deck? Do I want to be able to parley more often than not? Or am I just the Archenemy? Those questions usually help guide me when I feel like I can't make a decision. Congratulations on getting to open not one, but two boxes of Commander Legends! As well as getting some really awesome pulls. I definitely recommend keeping the Jeweled Lotus (unless it's foil - sell it and get another box!) for down the road when you select a mono-colored or large CMC commander.

Thanks for your input as always Mortlocke. Hope you and your hive are still keeping safe etc in this mad and crazy world.
As for deciding on a mono commander, Urza, Lord High Artificer would be the obvious best deck this could go in, but I honestly can't think of a commander I would rather not play than Urza. Such a pushed card. So, I might go a little different, but I just don't know who. All I know, is I think I want my mono commander to be black. Its just an awesome colour identity. Maybe Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, or do I go big reanimator with Sheoldred, Whispering One... I just don't know though. I am open to all options. Anyway, stay safe

Maybe you could squeeze in a Crib Swap as it is efficient removal and Overlord can tutor for it, just be aware that the opponent will get a "sliver" token

lil_cheez thanks for dropping by Hive. Your suggestion seems pretty legit, but I have designed my deck in such a way that I am always trying to progress towards my win cons, whilst denying spells to my opponents using counterspells like Pact of Negation, Mana Drain and Voidslime. If the board gets to sketchy I can then also blow up the board with mass removal like Austere Command and Blasphemous Act and pinpoint with Necrotic Sliver. Also, with Crib Swap they get a "sliver token". Usually a token is not a big deal. A token with that many abilities can be something pretty scary.
Thanks for the upvote.
So, do you have or are you looking at building a sliver deck?
November 30, 2020 7:54 a.m.
I see! If it does not fit your gameplan better not to use that!
I run a Sliver Hivelord actually! But with hivelord the approach to removal is different, it is just better to run boardwipes!

I also run Sliver Hivelord so can totally get behind that thinking. Also why I run boardwipes too. Saying that:
Sliver Hivelord + Spiteful Sliver + Blasphemous Act is a very interesting combo.
If it isn't killing everyone, its a one sided boardwipe with a ton of damage. Made me chuckle when I have done it a few times

So, some opinions would be nice. I am thinking of dropping the Survival of the Fittest and putting maybe a Worldly Tutor in there instead? Means I am not pitching creatures to the graveyard then. Whilst the SotF looks really nice etc, think the tutor would be better, and another possible turn 1 play to maybe get that all important piece of the puzzle. Opinions?

One thing I do respect about this deck is that you don't use the OG Duals. THIS deck, shows that you can make a good 5 color without the dual lands.

Thanks ShaDoWz_6677. Honestly, would love to own the OG dual lands, I just haven't got the finance to do it. The land base is pretty solid. Taken a lot of time making it so far. How about you? Are you part of the Hive too?

Hi NinjaBunny01,
So when I first say Morophon, the Boundless I got really excited and thought this is an excellent addition to the deck, however given how the deck works, its CMC, the fact that whilst the cost reduction is nice, the deck is capable of playing its entire library of creatures in a turn, and attacking, I feel Morophon, the Boundless is a bit of a "win more" card. I would rather look at some more control or removal in the deck if needed. This deck is one of those which "combo's off" to win, and protecting that is more important. It's a good suggestion, but just don't think it would prove massively beneficial to my build.
Thanks for coming and having a look.
