It is the gitrog monster dakmor loop yet again. Back to try to land people out with the giant toad haunting people to death. You guy's probably have seen the combo before but in short:
Step 1 get gitrog out. This is the main reason why we play 21 ramp spells, getting gitrog out on turn 2/3 is pretty good.
Step 2: get a free discard outlet online+ a big dredge card in the graveyard.
Step 3: draw a card and start dredging. Everytime you dredge a land to the yard you can discard the dredger in response and dredge again. do this untill you hit dakmor salvage. At this point we have full control over our draws.
We can dredge dakmor for free because we get the draw trigger from discarding dakmor itself. Every time you dredge a land you draw a card. You will reshuffle when you hit kozilek or gaea's blessing and continue drawing. After like 8 times of shuffeling you probably have your deck in hand. We can shortcut this though so it wont take forever.
Step 4: Kill someone. You have your deck in hand now. We can loop lotus petal to get infinite mana and cast collective brutality. This is our easiest way to win. We also have a instant speed loop that involves a kill with rath's edge.
Hi, i want to take this deck for a spin in a 200 man duel commander tournament. I Normally only play multiplayer commander so i need some input on the deck. I want to play a fast resilient combo deck because i am not familliar with the metagame at all. I have some cards i consider adding they are in my maybeboard they are mostely hate cards hate i dont know what hate cards i need exactly but my weakest matchups are probably blue decks since they can disrupt my combo hard.
The cards i am considering to cut are:
Gaea's blessing- is the extra shuffeling effect really that nessasary? i know its nice to have one while comboing off when people try to exile our kozilek but we still have chances to save the titan by drawing or a noxious revival or a necromancy on riftsweeper in response.
Sylvan library- its carddraw and selection. A little bit slow for my liking in aggrasive match ups where we want to combo off on turn 3-4 and life really matters there. It should probably be a defense grid.
Cards im considering to add in the deck:
-The reason i dont like necropotence is that triple black is quite hard for the deck to get and the life loss isnt nice, also if you dont pay attention you will exile cards when you try to combo off :p thoughts?
-POT is more ramp dont know if i need it. might be better then a random dork.
-How good is null rod in duel commander? i have no clue
-Defece grid against counter spells might be where i want to be.
-shred memory is an expensive tutor for 2 cmc or a grave hate card. I have no idea how good this card is but it seems like a metagame pick to me.
-Ad nauseam: i probably like this because i normally play this card starting with 40 life. Drawing kozilek with this seems like a lose condition.
-Cruicible of worlds: Do we even need this effect 2 times in our deck? we have like 10 tutors for ramunap excavator if we really need this effect.
-command beacon: might be nice if gitrog gets removed multiple times. I dont want too many colorless sources tough it would replace blasted landscape.
-Deglamer: leyline of the void and RIP litterally counter our stratagy so another removal for those might be nice.
-lightning Greeves staple in multiplayer gets in a lot of damage and protection when the card is on the field the opponent can hardly tap out because its hard to remove on their turn.
Cards i don't own
Bazaar of baghdad is in my theory not nessacery. Its a really good card when you want a discard outlet or when your hand is only mana and you want something else but the price tag is too high for me.
Any suggestions? What hate cards would you play in such an open field and what cards would you cut? i like to hear your thoughts.
