Pretty cool but I wouldn't exactly call a $83 deck cheap.

bardomudo Unfortunately, you are incorrect. Playing competitive Standard, $83 is very cheap.

Lol, guys i need to update the description, sorry. I never put more than $25 in this deck, but it did start at like $40. I agree with both of you though.

If I wanted to make the deck completely survive the rotation of Theros, what would you take out for Atheros?

Return to the Ranksis a thing.

Also Origins has added some removal option in Celestial Flare and Swift Reckoning, I think both are better than Valorous Stance for meeting their targeting conditions.

plantlord98 likely another Blood-Chin Fanatic.

Onions. I am not a fan of Return to the Ranks, i rely too heavily on 3 and 4 drops. the two removal spells are interesting, but both the double white on Celestial Flare and the spell mastery on Swift Reckoning. I would totally play reckoning otherwise tho, that card is legit.

I used to run a very similar deck. You may find 2-3x Athreos, God of Passage to be quite nice. Maybe take out an Ultimate Price or two.

MooseKnuckle I agree, only have the one at the moment. Seems silly to pick up more now this close to rotation, but I would swap them for Blood-Chin Fanatics.

Those were my other choice. :) Good luck!

You may want to consider Mardu Strike Leader or Herald of Anafenza for continuous Warrior making

Squery12 I tested with Mardu Strike Leader and found he wasn't worth the 4 mana a turn investment. Herald seems like a slower version of him. Thanks!

Might want to swap out Ultimate Price for Ruinous End. I know it's a Sorcery and 1 mana slower, but it answers a broader range of problems. For example, I was able to kill your Sorin in a head to head, but you had no answer for mine most of the time. Plus, you can't use it against multicolored, which means it can't target artifact creatures like Hangarback, devoid creatures coming in BfZ, and existing big threats like Siege Rhino. I would sideboard Ultimate Price for round 2 once you've seen what you're up against.

I know this is a pretty big change but you may want to consider splashing green because of Warden of the First Tree and Dromoka's Command

September 26, 2015 9:59 p.m.

I agree with the ultimate price thing, it's def sideboard material considering the meta's shift into new expansions.

On the green splash, Warden is garbage. Too much investment for underwhelming growth. There's other things you should be using that mana for, and if there isn't then you're probably losing anyways. He doesn't pull you out that hole unless you happen to max him before he's removed.

But, splashing a little green for Dramoka's Command, Seige Rhino, CoCo. and/or Den Protector isn't bad (although I ran only 1 rhino, I'd do 2 max considering not wanting to kill warrior synergy or coco synergy). CoCo let's you come back from behind, and curving into a Seige Rhino is a left field play with warriors that makes the opponent hate their life for killing your Arashin or Rager right before seeing it. Game 2 they will hold up removal and take some damage a lot of time waiting on a rhino that never hits the field.

Good luck, keep repping warriors (:

very solid build I have one very similar with a few tweaks if you would like to check and critique it Black White Warriors

Geoffrey1 I like him for sure. I have been trying to find a place for him in the sideboard, maybe 2 for a Battle Brawler and a Radiant Purge. Thanks!

I would cut 1 horde chief and 1 strike leader. I think the flexability of the Dragon Dlayer is key. Especially cause he owns Ulamog.

Ill test him in the board for now.

What would you think of adding Drana, Liberator of Malakir in that build? She could buff the warriors even further being a major threat.

October 9, 2015 2:02 a.m.

baddabiiing says... #22

Blacksagres, maybe, but not at her current price point. I am a big fan of her though and I might test her once she gets to a $5 price.

Blacksagres says... #23

baddabiiing I see what you mean. Her price isn't very friendly yet. I am testing a build inspired by yours but splashing green for Dromoka's Command, in order to protect the warriors a little bit and push them forward with counters.

Blacksagres I have actually seriously considered splashing green. I am a huge fan of Collected Company and I have a playset laying around. I might test that out soon.

I Would -2 Stasis Snare and -1 Ultimate Price for +3 Herald of Dromoka or +3 Hidden Dragonslayer. Not only is Hidden Dragonslayer removal, but its a lifelinker warrior, and Herald of Dromoka helps you block. +1 from me and check out my warrior deck: Warriors Win
