With a majority of your allies being CMC3 or less, I'd drop a Tracker's Instincts in favor of a fourth Collected Company.

Not a good idea canterlotguardian. The ideal amount of creatures one should be using to make Collected Company worth the while is around 24. This person runs 22 creatures, the bare minimum one should have the company in for.

Hmm you're right about that, I guess. I was just going off the fact that the Instincts only hits one creature and puts it into your hand, while the Company hits 2 and dumps them directly into play.

Tracker's Instincts costs less though. You can do it earlier for a much larger advantage. And if it goes into the grave, you can still cast it again.

Femme_Fatale is correct. While Collected Company is a fantastic card, at 4 CMC its pretty heavy in Modern. Tracker's Instincts is useful at every stage of the game, and continues to be of use while in my graveyard. Collected Company acts like more of a win-condition in this deck, to be used only at the perfect moment, while Tracker's Instincts nets me advantage whenever I need it.

MasterMan123, I used him for a long time but ultimately replaced him with Hada Freeblade for the lower mana cost. Because this deck doesn't win through normal aggro, but rather with mill or Harabaz Druid + Mirror Entity , I don't need both of them.

Have you considered Sea Gate Loremaster for easy card draw?

Five mana in bolt range that can only tap the turn after? I've seen better...

Exactly. If he was a 1/4, I'd consider him. I'm waiting for a better form of allied card draw in Battle for Zendikar.

Have you conidered Familiar's Ruse? It Allows you to Recast you allies re-triggering ETB effects, and otherwise is just Counterspell, which is a great card

Have been playing allies since I started, back in Zendikar 1.0

I like the look of this deck, though the excavator is not something I ever tried out. I mostly just rampedRampedRAMPED with Druids up to a Loremaster, then Mirror Entity or another Group Pump (overrun or such).

I am also super-excited about CoCo, got my playset preordered before the price began to climb.

What are you most looking forward to seeing from BFZ allies?

I personally want another Dork, Draw, and (most of all) a Tutor-for-Allies.

How did you find this deck? I thought I unlisted it. The updated, significantly better version of the deck can be found here:

Short answer is Mirror Mockery is a mediocre card, and there's nothing in the deck that it would be better than.

Hey man,Love the deck been a big ally fan for a while.Personally I would say ditch any 2 of 1 Collected Company, 1 Aether Vial, 1 Kabira Evangel or 1 Unified Will and add in two of either Return to the Ranks or Rally the Ancestors They are both strong cards, Rally the Ancestors allows instant play, Return to the Ranks has convoke and they stay on the battlefield.
