When I began playing MTG, the first duel I ever played was with a friend's cleric deck. After purchasing some clerics of my own and toying around with mono-black and mono-white clerics, I've come around to play with a b/w cleric pillow fort.

Prismatic Strands & Gods Willing will provide me much of my early game protection as I get my clerics online. After a sufficient board presence, I can begin using Starlit Sanctum + Vile Deacon and Profane Prayers to kill plus Master Apothecary alongside Battletide Alchemist to defend further. I can get lots o' cleric tokens once one or two of Rotlung Reanimator hit the field with Conspiracy active.

Updates Add

Removed 2x Profane Prayers, 1x Blind Zealot, & 1x Oversold Cemetery. Blind Zealot was too much to gamble on, especially considering I only own 2 Gift of Immortality right now. Oversold Cemetery wasn't being drawn when it was needed. Profane Prayers was a more difficult decision, as it can provide some hefty damage mid-game. But all were swapped for a play-set of Beloved Chaplain, increasing the protection in the deck.
