I was experimenting with Sage of Hours based on a concept a friend of mine told me, and at first I was thinking about Hardened Scales like "that might be good", but I didn't really feel it to begin with, but after seeing a heroic deck being played I started thinking about it some more and realised; This card is so diversal, it would be kind of retarded NOT to play it.You see, Hardened Scales Boosts close to every card in this deck.

The goal of the deck is: Infinite turns, in whatever way possible.

the path to it:

Sage of Hours (obviously)

and then we have the continuous counter providers:

Ajani, Mentor of Heroes

Citadel Siege

(those 2 are the core concept to achieve inf. combo, which is not my concept)

Bow of Nylea (Can also be boosted by Kiora's Follower)

Dragonscale General (works great with the high amount of mana creatures)

Daghatar the Adamant (needs Hardened Scales in order to be "continuous" source of counters)

Then we have Feat of Resistance to save Sage of Hours (or any other creature that might be key) and also gives 2 +1/+1 counters at the very least to him due to triggering the Heroic ability. Add 1 Hardened Scales and you get 4 counters. 2 of them and you get 6 counters and so on.

So, by combining these different "sustainable" sources of counters with Sage of Hours, you have a great diversity of ways to achieve your never ending turn!

Hope you find it interesting and that my creation wasn't too much alike any other already made Sage of Hours decks :)
