Sideboard

this is American POWER!

American control. what i know to be the looked down control compaired to Esper and Bant, i see the great amount of synergy and power this deck has in terms of control! i wont lie, i think with the new additions in dragons maze, this deck will be more powerful then it would have thought to be before.

key cards:

AEtherling: this card is great. even with only one main board, this card is still a great card against other control mirror matches. i keeep one main incase for first game if it gets down to draws i can draw into one and seal the deal with him.

Aurelia's Fury: i found this to be a great card for one main board. its got dividable ping damage, can prevent plays in my opponents turns, and a good possible finisher late game. it also helps against other walkers, since i can target them.

Azorius Charm: the strongest, most versatile spell in this deck. life link. draws. bounce. this card can help in almost any situation you find yourself in. i will admit, since american control lacks in creatures, it is harder to exploit the life link portion of this card, but in cases you can use it to make that gidion, champion of justice eve more scary then everyone will make him out to be.

Boros Reckoner: man, this dude really is a bitch. even playing against one. a three drop 3/3 with ability to reflect damage back.....its just overwelming to even see your opponent shuffle one in a deck, let alone play one turn three. since this deck runs 8 planeswalkers, you will need the protection he provides, to help keep your walkers on the board longer. another great reason he works in this is that he can really shut down aggro decks, and since about 80% of the meta is built around aggro, he fits in so well.

Chandra, the Firebrand : do you not love pings?!?!?!? a great finisher and great for finishing! we only have one because to be honest she's not a staple, and she's a good distraction.

Entreat the Angels : what can i even say. if drawn late game, its a good game. we will only run a singleton of it, because we dont want to have one opening hand, and its upsetting to get stuck late game without one. again, not a bread and butter card but more of a "is it turn 7? you draw entrea the angels? gg"

Augur of Bolas a good card for a turn two, and helps thin out your deck for more key cards. the fact that he is a 1/3 also really helps counter aggro, as well as small damage every turn if they have nothing to block.

Gideon, Champion of Justice: ok, i know i know, a lot of people wil suggest removing him, but i like him way to much in this. when you judge a planeswalker, you never really get to judge based off of the big minus ability. because most walkers have an un relistic chance of actually getting to that point. not gideon. this bad ass is only a 4 drop and is a win conditon on two levels. american control has a weekness in win conditions, and yes, it is low on creatures but gideon can pump up slowly, and dependent on how many creatures the opponent may have, it could be sooner. if they are running aggro? great. pump him up to 20 then drop the ultimate. then use him to swing and eat away there life. oh but they are playing control? not that bad, just get him to ten and let him be a board pressence that is intimidating, or swing with him. i mean he's indistructable, and easy to hit with. i just see way to much good in him to be removed.

Jace, Architect of Thought yeah yeah we all know him. he's a staple in control, and does the trick with draws and locking aggro down. i wont say more since he's IMO so bland and easy to use, i assume you guys are sart enough to use him.

Ral Zarek: i will admit. not as powerful as i want him to be but he fits well into the deck with his searing spears on a stick, and his untaps for more mana. his ultimate is pretty hard to get but i still like him for what he is. a power full board threat.

Render Silent a lot of people think it was over hyped but i see this getting stronger. a like it for match ups against aggro and non spell based decks. color is not much of an issue i have run across so far so im sticking with it.

Snapcaster Mage same as jace we all know but in a addition i wan to add the fact hat i think he works better in american over any other control since i can recast spear and pilar of flame.

Sphinx's Revelation same again. we all know why its worth 25 bucks.

Tamiyo, the Moon Sage Supreme Verdict thinktwice all great cards that we all know why. nothing specific i would need to mention.
