I've spent a lot of time going through various builds for my America and this is the latest attempt. Here, I'm trying to craft a burn deck that stalls the early game but keeps recycling cards into the late game when your opponent is defenseless. Key cards for this deck include:
Elixir of Immortality I run 4 of this fantastic artifact, because it always helps to keep recycling your cards back into the deck. 5 life is pretty cool too.
Sphinx's Revelation Another card that I run 4 of. This thing is absolutely amazing. It builds my life total and helps me draw tons of cards. With Elixir of Immortality I'm guaranteed to get a lot of value for this card.
Banefire This card is the almighty finisher. Although sometimes its nice to elimiate a severely pesky creature, Banefire is most commonly used at the very end of a game when we have tons of mana and can drop an easy 8-10 unpreventable, uncounterable (i guess thats a word now) damage.
Lightning Bolt The almighty staple burn card. This thing is a life safer for my deck. It drops creatures for a single mana and can dent your opponents life totals.
Lightning Helix A brilliant card that is basically the older sibling of lightning bolt. For only 2 mana, you can drop 3 damage and gain 3 life. Perfect.
Ajani Vengeant Vengeant is one of the ultimate planeswalkers for control decks. All of his abilities really affect the board, either by stalling, dropping a lightning helix, or rendering your opponent helpless with his ultimate.
Supreme Verdict One of the best early game drops. I love to plant this guy quickly to keep the board clear.
Detention Sphere Just in case something gets by one of my counters, I can use this enchantment to take out any sort of permanent.
Swan Song Great 1 drop counter to prevent early threats.
Dissolve Another brilliant counter that can take cary of any spell and let me scry.
