This is a midrange deck that wants the game to go long. It has several synergy packages. The purpose is to outlast your opponent by casting cards from your graveyard until they have no more resources. The primary engine of the deck is Haakon, Stromgald Scourge allowing you to replay knights from your graveyard as well as Crib Swap . Not wanting to be limited to only mono black. I decided to use Aminatou, the Fateshifter as the commander. She can unlock permanents trapped under auras. You use the various tutors to search for Haakon, Stromgald Scourge and the various other value cards in the Deck.

Packages: Markov Dreadknight , is a discard outlet. Insidious Dreams pulls double duty as a tutor and a discard outlet. Gifts Ungiven function either as a double tutor by getting three of the same kind of card; however, you can use the fail-to-find rule by only choosing two cards with different names. They will both go to the graveyard. Along with Entomb and Buried Alive can put Haakon, Stromgald Scourge from your deck directly into your graveyard. You don't want to leave him exposed there though. Thalia's Lancers is a tutor for Haakon, Stromgald Scourge , a knight that he can replay, and a blink target. It can also grab Geier Reach Sanitarium & Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth powers Crusading Knight , Filth , and Cabal Coffers . Pull from Eternity is your back up Haakon, Stromgald Scourge . Court Hussar is worded such that if you pay no white mana it will be sacrificed and can be recast immediately with Haakon, Stromgald Scourge . Crib Swap Recursive Removal. Glen Elendra Archmage can be reset with Aminatou, the Fateshifter . Because of the way Aminatou, the Fateshifter is worded both Perplexing Chimera can be taken back from an opponent because you still own it. Mirror Entity will make your few non-knights into knights or vampires where relevant. It can also be used for 0 to prevent your team from being exiled. Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake or Deadeye Navigator + Palinchron make infinite mana. Both Peregrine Drake and Palinchron work with Aminatou, the Fateshifter for a smaller advantage.
