Amonkhet Greedy Living End

Modern Living End

Randomguy006

Sideboard

Maybeboard

My take on living end after Amonkhet's release. There's two ways to go about it now: Go mana greedy for all 5 colours, or the typical 3 colour version, possibly with a splash for a 4th colour. This is the mana greedy version.

Adding blue gives access to Curator of Mysteries. Adding white gives access to both halves of Wear/Tear thanks to the new rules on how the cmc of fuse cards is calculated. This is huge, because all the sideboard hate that can be brought in against this deck is either an artifact or an enchantment. And green needs to stay in, because the instant speed cascade of Violent Outburst means you can cast it on end step, untap, and then probably win the game when you swing with your creatures.

In the sideboard we've got Leyline of the Void against dredge and other Living End decks, Lost Legacy against combo decks,Ricochet Trap against counterspell heavy decks because having your living end hit by Remand is the same as getting it counterspelled, Wear / Tear against affinity and to counter their sideboard hate against you. There's also Anger of the Gods against aggro and Gnaw to the Bone against aggro and burn.

In the Maybeboard there's some other stuff that didn't quite make into the 75. Mindbreak Trap is great against storm, but Lost Legacy can work there too and is more versatile. Dismember is good when you really need the instant speed removal, like against combo decks. Shriekmaw and Fulminator Mage are great value pieces because you can use them and then get them back with living end, butthey didn't quite make the cut.
