Enter Abzan Aristocrats, where the only allies you require are Spirits and the sole desecration of death. In the world of Aristocrats, only the most relentless, persisting creatures will survive. Attrition is key to victory here, even at the price of death itself...

"Greeting fellow Planeswalker! I presume you're here to sign with the Aristocrats and our battle for victory? Perfect! Oh yes, my name! I'm Captain Anhk from the port-city Zulaport. Today I'm going to lead you through the basics to becoming an 'Aristocrat'. I'd like to start by explaining to you how we operate as an unit. Each specific troop has a different assigned role and must perform these roles to aid in the success of this unit. Here are the troops and their designated jobs":

"The key to glory in battle is not the power of the force you are commanding, but how much attrition and control they exert on the opposing force."

The Troops...

In order to become a specialized troop in the "Aristocrats", one must exhibit qualities of persistence and attrition. For us to conquer the enemy, we must outlast their siege, only to then lay siege to them with our superior army.

+2 Blood Artist:
Blood Artist constantly puts pressure on the opponents, as every death on the battlefield will benefit you and hurt them. When the battle is almost won, Blood Artist is used to finish off the opposition through mass sacrifice.

+4 Blisterpod:
Blisterpod is one of our early defenders, coming in on the front line. When one Blistered is felled, an Eldrazi Spawn takes its place to aid in defense.

+1 Cartel Aristocrat:
Cartel Aristocrat watches not only over all troops on the battlefield, but also herself. When in danger, she can sacrifice a lesser troop to save herself.

+4 Doomed Traveler:
Another early defender, serves a similar purpose to Blisterpod. The spirit left behind from Doomed Traveler helps take the victory later in battle, as they are hard for your opponents forces to combat.

+4 Satyr Wayfinder:
Satyr Wayfinder helps fill the graves with fresh troops to resurrect for later, during the end stages of the combat.

+3 Tidehollow Sculler:
Tidehollow Sculler allows you to secretly steal your opponents battle plans- as long as he makes it back safely.

+4 Viscera Seer:
Viscera Seer allows you to peer into the future, helping swing the battle in your favor, at the price of your own troops!

+4 Zulaport Cutthroat:
Zulaport Cutthroat serves a similar purpose to Blood Artist, but shows skills on the battlefield, ranking him higher than Blood Artist.

The Support...

Every well-established army needs some sort of backup or support. With our support, we can call in troops whenever needed, we can boost our strength in battle, or even resurrect out fallen brethren,

+3 Collected Company
When you need to refill the battlefield with troops, Collected Company does the job perfectly! You can call for this support whenever you need as well.

+4 Lingering Souls
Lingering Souls provides your army with four new recruits, greatly aiding in the annihilation of your enemy.

+4 Return to the Ranks
Return to the Ranks 'revives' all of the fallen troops in battle, sweeping your opponents victory from underneath their feet.

+3 Abzan Ascendancy
Abzan Ascendancy bolsters the power of your whole team, and also gives you a benefit to their deaths.

The Battlefields

+1 Gavony Township
Gavony Township is the town where our army trains, plans war strategies, and rests when no battle is ensuing. Stop here to gain some extra supplies to boost your power if needed.

"Whew! That was a lot, wasn't it? Thankfully, you passed your examination! Nice job soldier, I'll see you soon for further training. If you have any questions, just remember to re-read the manual or just ask me myself! New sections are currently being written in the manual such as in-depth strategy analysis, recruitment options, and a full battle-strategy briefing. Until next time soldier..."

Updates Add

Salutations TappedOut community! I just wanted to wrap up a few "loose ends" about the deck, the primer, and some other stuff in an update.

I am currently writing a whole bunch more information on the deck for the future (I only put this up now because I wanted some initial advice). Some stuff I am including is information such as a detailed deck-tech, an analysis of how this deck matches up to other popular modern decks, and a better card-by-card description of the deck. I will even eventually share some results from playtesting and events to better show-off this deck. "How to budget this deck further" and how to "unbudget" this deck sections will be on their way as well.

I also wanted to ask you for some help. If you have any suggestions, problems with what I said/wrote, or just have a general comment, please share it with me! I am always looking to improve my writing and decks. Thank you!

Last thing; if you have any questions I did not cover in the deck description, feel free to ask me directly, I will try to answer your question in a timely fashion! Any suggestions are appreciated as said before. Have a good day, and don't forget to upvote the deck if you liked it!
