My friend did this and it worked out really well.

@formortiis I love this deck. It was so much fun to play. I'm just trying to find the time to update it to what I'm running now.

I love this deck. Maybe avacyn's pilgrims? +1

Thank you Stuart! I can't wait to post the updated deck list once I stop being so lazy xD And I'v tried Avacyn Pilgrim, but Arbor Elf works better. I never have any issues with mana for it.

I was thinking instead of zhur-taa Druid. For a more reliable turn two three drop.

To be perfectly honest, you don't actually need all that many mana dorks least of all Zhur-Taa Druid. As most of your curve is at 3, the only mana dorks that'll actually help you are the ones you can play for 1.

Formortiis I have to post up my new build, I only run 3 arbor elves and 3 Farseeks, and it works well with blind obedience because even late game worse case scenario it's a 1 or 2 cost gain one opponent loses one.

Arbor Elf I can understand. It's Zhur-Taa Druid that's unnecessary.

Zhur-Taa Druid isn't in my new build, I just have to actually post it lmao.

I have a very similar deck but I use experiment one, burning tree, flinthoof boar and my key core card is domri rade. It works soooo well with boros reckoner. Also, your sideboard should put some cards to respond the control decks. I'd suggest Thalia, assemble the legion, and Ruric Thar, the Unbowed to be in the sideboard. +1

Thanks for the tips cyrilpang, but I really don't like Ruric Thar or Assemble the Legion in standard, and I don't have any Thalia, I haven't had any issues going against control decks though.

Actually Ruric Thar can be legitimate sideboard tech against control despite being a 6 drop. Unless they can counter him, he's guaranteed value as he's big enough that their creatures can't kill him without trading and they can't kill him with removal without taking 6 to the face.

It is good yes, but I'm just not a big enough fan of him in this deck.

something about this deck tells me you are missing Plagiarize

January 2, 2014 1:49 p.m.

Notion Thief and Consecrated Sphinx help that out. They effect everyone. Thanks for the idea though I'v never heard of that card.

January 2, 2014 1:50 p.m.

I thought about him, because I have one. But I want the original Niv-Mizzet.

forced fruition is a necessity in this deck

Yes indeed. I still need to pick one up.

So, here we have everyone drawing cards, everyone, but no Underworld Dreams ? And you are drawing a ton of cards I assume, but no Psychosis Crawler ? And theres no Teferi's Puzzle Box to make everyone draw even more cards, while being able to inconsistently plan their next move. Just some food for thought.

January 6, 2014 12:50 p.m.

Underworld Dreams and Psychosis Crawler I need to pick up. I don't have them otherwise I'd be using them. I do not like Teferi's Puzzle Box, as that makes my hand inconsistent as well.

No worries, I really like the deck though. I played against a friend who ran something similar, and I had the bright idea of playing Spiteful Visions ...then he played one...then everyone lost really fast.

January 6, 2014 4:16 p.m.

Haha thank you. The original draft of this deck came from the idea of building an edh deck that was fun to play regardless of if you win or lose. And realized how much draw synergy there was. And now this is what it currently is. I always enjoy playing it. :D

PierceTheVeilMemphisMayFire - you lack the understanding of Teferi's Puzzle Box . for a deck like this you should understand how powerful of a hand you develop. replacing a hand of 20 cards with another 20 cards does not make your hand inconsistent. it makes it a powerful search engine. They, on the other hand, have to keep discarding down to 7, which makes it a lot harder for them in comparison. Take a look at more nekusar decks and play test them. you will find how amazing it is.

My personal take on the deck is discard hand, draw 7. discard hand, draw same amount, etc etc. it works very well and I never have a problem with discarding my hand to draw more. because I get a fresh new batch of playable cards while dealing a f***-ton of damage simultaneously. you, actually, are the first to play card draw without discard spells. if you are sticking to that route, add cards to destroy anything that gives them no maximum hand size. which every edh deck runs Reliquary Tower . so make sure to have answers for that if you are sticking to this only draw theme.

I have misread Teferi's Puzzle Box. I do enjoy it and should pick one up. I thought it made you discard your hand. I will pick up some land destruction as well to get rid of reliquary towers.

Dude I was confused as fuck because the first block of comments has absolutely nothing to do with Nekusar. I assume it was from an earlier iteration of the deck, in which case you should probably do a comment cycle and put all the old comments in an update so no one gets confused like me.

As far as the deck itself, why are you not running Blue Sun's Zenith ? I thought that would be an auto-include in a Nekusar EDH deck.
