I do like Gyre Sage but she can't tap for any mana without being boosted up which usually turns into a problem against heavy control or removal

Oh ya that was my bad I overlooked that and the fact that axebane is any mana whereas she is only green ... Well then what are your thoughts on adding a few more defenders? Some I was thinking of were Colossus of Akros he is a little pricey but when you get him monstrous he is beast, or Dragon Egg basically reds version of a Doomed Traveler , Gatecreeper Vine is another alright defender which gets you some fixing, Guardian of the Ages or Guardians of Meletis are two other solid defenders. Thats all I could really think of in your colors and with your deck in mind. Take what you want from it

I don't really see this as being competitive, at least not yet. I'll try to help in any way I can, though.
I think the Peak Eruption is risky because it relies on either playing against red or using Nylea's Presence to work. I might suggest taking them out and including Wild Ricochet and Demolish , along with your ramp this should be an easy way to smash out enemy lands. It's also good to play against control, as you can redirect when they counter etc etc. I'd also pull out Young Pyromancer and Guttersnipe (as good as they are, they don''t fit the theme here, with a large lack of instants and sorceries)
TLDR:
- -3x Peak Eruption
- -3x Guttersniper
- -3x Young Pyromancer
- +1x Clan Defiance
- +4x Demolish
- +3x Wild Ricochet
- -3x Gatecreeper Vine
- +3x Guardians of Meletis
- -3x Lightning Strike
- -4x Nylea's Presence
- +4x Awaken the Ancient
- +4x Volcanic Geyser 13.+2x Sylvan Primordial
- -2x Pyromancer's Gauntlet
I know it's a lot, but let me know what you think. I tried to base my suggestions around the land-kill theme of this deck.

Nice! Thanks Drfrozenfire I just didn't know where to start from what he had, haha also I've never played against this deck. I'm gonna make the changes andsee how it feels. Wild Ricochet was definitely on the top of the list while I was thinking at work today haha

I'll play test it too against some of my decks and see if it's viable

What should be out for sure:
Five-Alarm Fire - Too slow for monored.
Hammer of Purphoros - Half your things have haste already. And you are NOT planning on waiting for that active to be useful.
What should be in for sure:
Burning-Tree Emissary - Drop him, drop Magma Jet. Drop him, drop Lightning Strike . Drop him, drop him again, drop Legion Loyalist.
The perfect hand is 2 lands, 4 Burning Tree and 1 Magma Jet.

That's a bummer. Nice deck, but I did like the land-destruction idea. I may just have to make a deck like that myself :P

Hahaha I liked it too, I think I'm gonna start from scratch though, not from what my friend had. Trying to work it around that just made my head spin haha

With only 2 different defenders 7 total I don't really think it merits Axebane Guardian he is easily burned. What are your thoughts on Gyre Sage i think that might work well since you have a pretty wide variety of different power and toughness.
