Early control with Banisher Priest , Pacifism , Solemn Offering and Celestial Flare . Midgame should be generating angels using Angelic Accord. End game life drain can be devastating with a Sanguine Bond + Congregate combo.

Spear of Heliod early enough can force some players to hold off a little longer in order for you to ramp up the mana for the life drain combo. Lord of the Void is in there for fun if the game goes long enough.

Bubbling Cauldron works well when an enemy is about to destroy a creature. It can be used to trigger the Angelic Accord.

Strionic Resonator can be used with both Sanguine Bond and Angelic Accord, making it a useful artifact in this deck.

Sideboard contains more creatures if going up against a fast deck. Tenacious Dead works well with the Bubbling Cauldron , and is a great defender. Doom Blade is for non-black decks, if more control is needed.
