Sideboard

Once Archangel of Tithes was spoiled, I knew I needed to build a deck around it. The card is too good, especially if there are more than one on the field, and ESPECIALLY if they have vigilance. This my take on a mono-white devotion deck with Archangel of Tithes, Wingmate Roc, and Soul of Theros as my main beaters. The deck runs fairly smoothly. I went 2-1-1 with it at game day. I drew with a guy because my life total kept climbing due to Soul's activated ability, and he ulted Ajani, Mentor of Heroes. Anyway, on to the deck. The deck relies on pumping out threats on turn two, and using Nykthos to spit out the big brawlers faster. If you guys have any questions at all, feel free to drop a comment.

CARD CHOICES

Archangel of Tithes - The whole reason the deck exists. Scary good, and it doesn't die to a stoke the flames.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos - Brimaz is amazing because he makes tokens for attacking/blocking, and he has two white mana symbols to build devotion.

Wingmate Roc - Again, two white mana pips, and he's just good. He brings along another friend to the brawl and is good for creating a life buffer when attackers are declared.

Heliod, God of the Sun - Vigilance. Vigilance, vigilance, vigilance. He's an indestructible 5/6 beatstick, yeah, but the vigilance is what matters. He gives our angels vigilance, which doesn't cause them to tap, which means they can endlessly spread the love.

Soul of Theros - He's a 6/6 beater with vigilance, and his activated ability can turn the tide of games VERY quick.

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit - Makes my guys bigger when they enter the battlefield. Plus, two mana pips to fuel devotion.

Knight of the White Orchid - Who doesn't love 'Fetch-on-a-stick' ????

SIDEBOARD CARD CHOICES

Radiant Purge - Removal for Siege Rhino and pesky gods, or just any multicolor enchantment or creature that pisses me off.

Revoke Existence - Tutelage Mill is veeeeeery popular in my local meta. I tend to board this in against Tutelage or anything running Hangarback Walker.

Glare of Heresy - For the mirror, or anything running too much white. Planeswalkers, creatures, enchantments, etc.

Phyrexian Revoker - Recent addition, still debating keeping him in or taking him out. Added in response to the surge of Hangarback Walker in my local meta. He can also hit planeswalkers that tend to be a thorn in my side.
