Creatures are such a fickle thing in M:tG, are they not? They have no control over their destiny, nor over their own actions. They live and typically die based on the whims of those that have more power than they do.

Angrath understands this, which is why he ensures that he doesn't need more than his Army to do away with his enemies. Given his army is nothing more than the reanimated flesh of the deceased, there is no will to break, no worries of a life ending too soon, as it has already ended.

Of course, such an Army would need armaments, to protect itself and ensure the death of Angrath's enemies. And in this, Angrath has more than supplied. Powerful artifacts to increase the power of production to get those armaments to his dedicated Army. Spells are in abundance to remove the threats of any that oppose Angrath and his mighty Army of One.

The overall strategy of the deck is relatively simple: cheap mana boosting artifacts help Angrath hit the table to create your Zombie Army, which you can then equip. You have a variety of burn spells to help hold back enemy forces until you can get your Army suitably equipped, then a few well places shots of Angrath's Signature Spell can make short work of any opposing mortal forces. Cards such as Burning Sands makes the Signature Spell even more dangerous as it can wipe out your opponents' lands far faster than it would your own. You only have to rely on Angrath to supply the only creature you'll ever need.

There are even cards in here to enchant lands such as Barbed Field, so you can deal damage to any legal target. Ping Angrath when his loyalty is at 1 to send him back to the Command Zone and play him again, so you can boost your Army even further.

Spells like Fires of Invention Can make it so your spells cast free, leaving precious mana available to equip your Army, while Shattering Spree is sure to strip your opponents' of their critical artifacts. Gratuitous Violence will help ensure any damage done by your Army (including the damage that would be dealt due to the Signature Spell!) is more than enough to destroy anything in your path. With the right weapon for the job, this can lead to a massive life gain for you with Loxodon Warhammer, or be an easily repeatable means of mass removal in the early game with something like Basilisk Collar or Gorgon's Flail.
