@Karnage

Great call on Elspeth Tirel!!! I will add it for sure.

Also, Capt. Jean-Luc Picard is the captain of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Also, why do you have the Empire stuff? Don't you think they kind of suck? Also they could be replaced with a lot better cards, while taking your deck size down to 60.

Individually yeah they are kind of lame in most peoples eyes. When the set is complete though they really do get you wins. When you are getting 5 1/1's every turn for 1 mana, a mind control every turn, and do 3 direct to the enemy it really does change the pace of the game.

You should look at putting some Martial Coup in the sideboard for some spammy destruction lulz too :D

August 25, 2011 7:59 a.m.

Karnage says... #7

not standard derp

velant says... #8

Yeah Martial Coup is not T2 standard, other thing I was thinking of adding is Phyrexian Rebirth but not 100% at this point.

Yea you can take out two Honor of the Pure for that, but try to go up to 23 land then.

Made some more adjustments, while testing I have found that the Adaptive Automaton to be a great support card and is much cheaper than Elesh and Phyrexian Rebirth .

I found myself holding those in my hand forever and never getting them on the field in time.

Capt. Picard is turning in his grave because you are not running Intangible Virtue .

The comment asking who Jean-Luc Picard was made me cry.

I think Picard would include Doomed Traveler , the Standard equivalent of a redshirt that's just designed to die.

Also, +1 for Star Trek. If I could, I would give another +1 for the Shrine of Loyal Legions comment.

I haven't updated for Innistrad yet Platinum_Demon, but yet I will be dropping down to 3 Intangible Virtue and 2 Honor of the Pure .

Vales my man, good call on the redshirts! Doomed Traveler is perfect.

I'd totally give a +1 for Star Trek, but... you misspelled Worf. :(

But it looks like a fun deck to play! So, voting you up anyways!

Holy crap Shrine of Loyal Legions does look like him xD! nice it looks fun +1 for uniqueness and name lol

though I will say Voyager and Janeway all the way!

I fixed the spelling djgunn. TY for the heads up, Worf would have grabbed me and thrown me good for that no doubt.

I will give +1 if you either explain what you mean when you say this deck is about Angry Picard, or explain what your general intention is. Obviously you are working with lots of tokens, but are you trying to achieve anything specifically?

velant says... #20

Very aggressive token overrun with lots of control. Angry Picard is the name I have given it because of the pic on Shrine of Loyal Legions MTG Card: Shrine of Loyal Legions looking like a very angry Cpt. Jean-Luc Picard.

OK, cool, +1 from me. You could reasonably safely switch the Midnight HauntingMTG Card: Midnight Haunting to Lingering SoulsMTG Card: Lingering Souls and 4 PlainsMTG Card: Plains to Isolated ChapelMTG Card: Isolated Chapel. If you feel like going that direction. I do not know if you feel like splashing black, but the power of dropping 4 spirit tokens with one card when you are already playing Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtue is pretty significant.

Good luck with this deck,

+1 for Cathedral MembraneMTG Card: Cathedral Membrane and True ConvictionMTG Card: True Conviction :D

instead of Strata ScytheMTG Card: Strata Scythe, might I recommend Trepanation BladeMTG Card: Trepanation Blade? You'll eat up any ramp deck/wolf run hybrids ;)

Thank you for the +1 Guiness, it is much appreciated. I had thought of perhaps adding in trepanation in its place, however with so many people playing Dredge/Solar Flare/Frites stile decks its a pretty dangerous thing to add stuff to there platter to use against you later.

Originally, I had intended to use Sword of Body and Mind x1 to have one of each for every color Prot. Testing proved it to be to common for me to put and Unburial RitesMTG Card: Unburial Rites and a Elesh or Wurmcoil EngineMTG Card: Wurmcoil Engine in their graveyard for them which is pretty bad news for me.

March 25, 2012 7:19 p.m.

If this were Extended, I would suggest splashing black with Bojuka BogMTG Card: Bojuka Bog and Isolated ChapelMTG Card: Isolated Chapel as your bases, which would also give you access to toys like Lingering SoulsMTG Card: Lingering Souls and Sever the BloodlineMTG Card: Sever the Bloodline (the latter being great against the mirror match).

Sadly, this is not Extended, so my comment is invalid.

So instead, I will put forward the possibility of adding Throne of EmpiresMTG Card: Throne of Empires. Just one or two. Even without the other empire pieces, paying one and tapping for a token at instant speed that can be used as a combat trick on the defensive side of things is pretty good.
