This is the EDH deck that I use against other powerful decks. It's not optimized to be as ridiculous as Animar can be, but it still has enough strength to be a force. Some of the combos are...

Infinite mana combos to kill with Genesis Wave, Blue Sun's Zenith, or Nin, the Pain Artist

Animar, Soul of Elements + Palinchron Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake, Palinchron, or Great Whale

Infinite creatures

Kiki Jiki + Pestermite, Deceiver Exarch, or Intruder Alarm Splinter Twin + Pestermite or Deceiver Exarch

Other

Animar, Soul of Elements + Palinchron + Tidespout Tyrant: Cast Palinchron infinite times and bounce the opponents' boards back to their hands.

I used to use Molten Disaster and Banefire as extra infinite mana outlets, but preferred the flexibility of draw effects and Genesis Wave.
