Why you no Conduit of Ruin? He may only search out your titans and blightsteel, but it's your titans and blightsteel.

Really cool concept, do you play this more in a multiplayer format or 1v1?

I'd consider dropping Blightsteel Colossus & Hardened Scales - Hardened Scales is pretty useless unless it's out super early (I played with this for 10+ games)

Blightsteel Colossus - Great beat stick but the haste requirement really makes this hard to play in a multiplayer format, it's also a target for artifact removal.

Consider Adding: Void Winnower, Oblivion Sower & Trophy Mage. The Eldrazis are awesome because they can be flickered with Cloudstone. Oblivion Sower - when flickering this you're getting a ton of extra lands and milling your opponents. I've won a lot of games because someone will counter the typical win cons Purphoros, God of the Forge, Walking Ballista and then get blindsided by the Oblivion Sower mill.

Trophy Mage - just an outstanding tutor for Cloudstone, it's super easy to tutor for creatures in your deck and this just adds to the ability to get Cloudstone out.

Void Winnower - This shuts down a ton of spells, specifically counterspells and really helps out if you're running a "beatstick" animar strat.

Consider putting Growing Rites of Itlimoc back, the cycling through the top 4 cards is a huge help, I use this a lot to get card advantage, the mana ability is just a plus.

Prowling Serpopard - This is a must add for Animar, this 1 card will win you games.

It really depends on your Meta. Me personally - I'm always up against a bunch of Mono Blue/Stax and serious combo engines. It's very rare for games to go past Turn 6.

Sorry ToffMcSoft, I didn't really keep the conversation going.

Strictly multiplayer is where I play the deck.

I've honestly had most of those cards in here at one point and I keep considering Void Winnower but am more interested in adding more low drops. I agree that blightsteel can come out along with Pathbreaker Ibex for the same reason though.

I know trophy mage is a low drop but curio is the only 3cmc artifact I have, she's too narrow. Also more of a problem with exile and boardwipes in my meta so not much use for Serpopard.

I'm considering more bounce creatures like Shrieking Drake.

Shrieking Drake, Man-o'-War, Dream Stalker & Temur Sabertooth are all awesome additions.

Temur Sabertooth does wonders with Peregrine Drake or Palinchron. There are also so many situations where you want to bounce return a creature and keep replacing it.

Can't tell you how many times I've had a HUGE Animar and just used Temur Sabertooth to bounce & play Kozilek, Butcher of Truth over an over again.

Also, Temur Sabertooth has saved my board state many times, bouncing creatures to avoid board wipes & targeted spells on Animar. I've bounced Animar just to avoid paying the Commander tax.

I'd strongly suggest adding a few more artifacts & Trophy Mage

Another creature that was reprinted in Battlebond that i think would work is Tidespout Tyrant. Its cost is mitigated by animar and with the frequency aat which you likely play spells it will put in some real work. I didn't look over every card in the list to get a good feel for what to pull for it, but as far as pulling a close equivalent in cost, I'd say the Tishana, Voice of Thunder. While the draw effect is nice, it's p/t boost is temporary and unless you have constant draw to maintain a decent p/t, I'd take the 5/5 flyer anyday

I'm sure you've seen the Spellseeker into Weird Harvest into Walking Ballista and Ancestral Statue ?

Out: Stadium Vendors - Not a bad budget option for Infinite mana with Cloudstone type bounce but not needed when you have all the other options.

In: Simic Ascendency - Alt win-con. Puts me up to a nice unlucky 13 non-creature spells in the deck. Also upgraded to foil Animar.

Ok, I did some massive trades tonight. Judge foil Food Chain, Commander's Arsenal foil Maelstrom Wanderer, foil Primordial Sage, and foil Somberwald Sage are now in the deck.

Ok, I went a little ballsy and cut a land which brings me down to 32. I share cards between decks and accidentally ran only 31 lands for 4 games today without a hiccup... here's to hoping it wasn't just a fluke.

Out: Prismatic Vista - I really don't care about basic lands outside of Earthcraft .

In: Spark Double - Really good clone, I target my own stuff 95% of the time anyways.

Ok, I ordered Card Kingdom's last EX Painter's Servant for 30.02 including shipping/tax. Thinking of maybe dropping Spellskite to make room... thoughts? Other suggestions for a cut?

I decided on Spark Double for my cut. It's cute but it's the weakest clone in my deck imo.

Ok, switched the cut to Clever Impersonator . Double blue compared to a single blue is my reasoning.

Ok, Dockside Extortionist is my next infinite mana combo piece I want to try out here. Not sure what to drop though... opinions? I'm thinking maybe Sad Robot?

I've also been considering an alternate list for Animar that's less focused on Ancestral Statue. I miss playing this deck more often in my usual power playgroup... now it just gets pulled out (less often) against other really good decks. I figure dropping Spellseeker, Weird Harvest, Ancestral Statue, Walking Ballista, and Purphoros gets me back to this level (Ancestral Harvest combo is gross). It still keeps most of my combos in here but those combos aren't immediately lethal (or as out of nowhere) so there's more variance and more chances for interaction.

Okay a couple suggestions. Yes for dockside extortionist in for sad robot. You're in green, sad robot just gives you an extra counter, you should have a ton of regular ramp in the deck to begin with. My biggest suggestion is adding in Neoform . Why do you ask? You already have all the other combo pieces, and you'd be pretty much switching out harvest in that combo. And not everyone gets to tutor. Not that it'd matter. Adding in neoform let's your combo go the same way as the harvest combo, but with 2 counters on Animar, 4 extra life, you can neoform spellseeker into statue bouncing that all around then finally bouncing metamorph to go get walker. Suggestion only.
