Long ago, the four melons lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Firemelon Nation attacked.

Only the animar, soul of the elements could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. etc etc, Avatar the Last Airbender, I'm hilarious.

Animar, Soul of Elements cheats out the colorless creatures and makes itself big. There's just enough utility built into the colorless creatures to be useful. And card draw to keep the free plays coming. Plus a lot of fun green stuff I've never tried because I've never built a green deck before.

A lot of other similar builds use modular mechanic creatures to work themselves towards the same end goal, but I'd rather utility creatures than hopping around counters.
