This is the birth of my competitive Animar list, and it is being constantly shifted and tested as I learn of better options for the deck. Each card looks to have an impact that ultimately brings me closer to winning, or aims to disrupt another person from winning themselves.

Storm Entity is going to be trimmed and replaced with Spy Network as he subtracts from the focus of the deck, while Spy Network allows for better fixing in your top deck, allowing you to hit what you need more reliably.

Yeva, Nature's Herald was not being utilized and felt like a wasted slot at 4, and has been replaced by Phyrexian Metamorph - not to worry, I have also replaced the effect in my deck by using Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, replacing Majestic Myriarch because much like Storm Entity, it was diluting from the intentions of the combos in the deck. Teferi gives added protections to your combos, and allows non-green creatures to be cast with flash as well, so you can hold up counter mana until the end phase before your turn - often never having to cast him because of Birthing Pod or Eldritch Evolution if the situation calls for it.

Hammer of Purphoros has also been replaced! Now in his slot is Urabrask the Hidden, due to his ability to cost less - and being able to get tutored out much easier since he is a creature.

Willbender has been cut and replaced by Unified Will - for the same mana or less, you can accomplish a more efficient - albeit circumstantial (but very easy to accomplish) counterspell!

Thunderfoot Baloth has been exchanged for Consecrated Sphinx due to the inconsistency of only getting +2/+2 and Trample vs the sheer card advantage provided by the Sphinx - often invaluable in longer games.

Scapeshift has been slapped for being too slow for what the deck wants. While it is great deck thinning and great mana fixing, Xenagos, God of Revels adds more redundancy to your Haste, and also makes things like Decimator of Provinces or one of his more notable 10 CMC Eldrazi companions even scarier when they are on the field.

Hardened Scales, while awesome, has been removed and replaced with Gitaxian Probe to assist with information against other blue players, and anyone you feel may be a direct threat to your plans, as well as being a free replacement AND well... being able to pay 2 life to draw another card is pretty strong in this deck.

Goodbye Paradox Engine - you were just added infinite - hello Kruphix, God of Horizons

Goodbye Temur Sabertooth - hello Bloodbraid Elf - the added return to hand was unneccesary and expensive, but the targets for Bloodbraid are great.

Goodbye Karametra's Acolyte - hello Green Sun's Zenith

Goodbye Myojin of Life's Web - hello Fauna Shaman

Further changes:

Goodbye Kruphix, hello Deepglow Skate - you have better shock value at 5, and assist the speed of the deck overall.
