This is my take on Animar, this list is heavily influenced on this Animar Primer https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveEDH/comments/6ah1v2/primer_animar_soul_of_elements/

This deck is almost 100% optimized and is meant to be played with fast decks aiming to win around turn five.

The main win-con of this deck is Imperial Recruiter with Animar at 3 +1/+1 counters and having UUU in non-painlands and RG can be dorks rocks or anything. This lets us set up a tutoring chain to win the game and get almost any answer we may need even if it is in our graveyard(not answers for exiled stuff).

1. Imperial Recruiter fetching Phyrexian Metamorph copying the recruiter and paying two life

2. Phyrexian Metamorph fetching Fierce Empath

3. Fierce Empath fetching Hoverguard Sweepers

4. Hoverguard Sweepers bounce itself and Phyrexian Metamorph

5. Phyrexian Metamorph copying Imperial Recruiter paying another 2 life

6. Phyrexian Metamorph fetching Peregrine Drake ( Palinchron can be used if you have the extra U and use fierce impath instead

7. Hoverguard Sweepers and Peregrine Drake make infinte mana

8. Recast Imperial Recruiter for the last time and get Walking Ballista

Once you have down this you can get almost anything out of the deck with Hoverguard Sweepers + Imperial Recruiter / Fierce Empath . Maybe you need to get rid of a Leyline of Sanctity well Fierce Empath got you covered with Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger . Is Walking Ballista in the graveyard and you can't finish the game? Well Imperial Recruiter got your back with Den Protector or Eternal Witness . Afraid of someone slow rolling a counterspell well we got Spellseeker to get us some of our counter back up and even Imperial Recruiter to get us Glen Elendra Archmage

If this fails we have Purphoros, God of the Forge who can close out a game with ease and will never be exiled to a Path to Exile effect because he will never be creature in this deck. Purphoros, God of the Forge plus one of the following:

1. Ancestral Statue
2. Two morph creatures with Cloudstone Curio
3. Cloudstone Curio with Peregrine Drake or Palinchron and some cheap creatures or even morph

It all falls apart? We can go Eldrazi.

The deck does durdle at times but you will figure out lines of plays as you go along. There has been many times where I am just bouncing creatures with Cloudstone Curio and a creature that ETB untap lands or can produce mana like Rattleclaw Mystic just cast for free and pay the mana to flip and netting one mana everytime of any color for infinite mana and can draw my deck from something like Elvish Visionary or Primordial Sage
