koylucumert: no, you can simply win with Avacyn’s Judgment when paying the madness cost as you discard it. Or Bloodhall priest. Both are included in the standard DD pile in my description.

What are your thoughts on mishra/urza's baubles to make your deck smaller

Hi what about, Leechridden Swamp or Piranha Marsh , they can deal infinite damage during the worldgorger loop. Also leechridden is a swamp so it can be searched with fetch lands.

Is Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Cabal Coffers ever a consideration for the land base?
Does this deck want a Yawgmoth's Will to potentially give it a second crack at the combo?

Is kozilek good as a way to win by looping fiery temper or is it just worse than cut to ribbons
Also how about ricochet trap or bolt bend to add more stack interaction

@Bazzul: Leechridden Swamp/Piranha Marsh aren't really needed because we can already infinitely filter with Anje to find our standard wincons. The fact that those lands come in tapped means they hurt our early game plan far more than they'd help as win outlets.
@KwikdrawMTG: Urborg/Coffers wasn't really considered since this deck runs light on lands and it's likely we wouldn't get to the point where Coffers is ever relevant. Like my other comment about Leechridden Swamp and Piranha Marsh, Coffers is more liable to make us stumble in the critical early game than help produce more mana later on. Yawg Will isn't bad at all though for a bit more staying power - I encourage you to try it out!
@Rollergoalie31: That's a cool idea with an Eldrazi shuffler loop and Fiery Temper. I do still like Cut // Ribbons more because Cut has more utility as an early removal spell in addition to its win outlet. Ricochet Trap and Bolt Bend are both good additions depending on your meta and how much protection you want to have (with the trap being the first option because it can help protect Anje easier)

First off,
Loving this deck. I had two questions in mind?
1)why vandalblast over Shattering spree?
2) what about Molten Disaster as a wincon? Split second is amazing for the lethal ending of a game.

I'm probably missing something but how does Necropotence not inhibit getting our boy George into the graveyard? Would the enchantment only come out once we have the first combo piece already in the graveyard, then using it to dig for Animate Dead ?

DiscountMarx, Necropotence is a triggered ability. You can respond to the triggered ability with Necromancy , which you can cast with flash. This downside is far outweighed by the upside of Necropotence, allowing you to draw and sculpt a nearly perfect hand the turn you drop it.

Can you please explain Tainted Pact and/or Demonic Consultation ? When do you use them? What do you name?
September 25, 2019 1:27 p.m.
KwikdrawMTG says... #12
choppers Tainted Pact doesn't require you to name a card. You just reveal from the top until you decide to keep a card, so you can use it at any time for whichever card suits your need (think of it like Ad Nauseam , except you exile the cards revealed instead of putting them in your hand and losing life equal to the cmcs).
As for Demonic Consultation , it's a little trickier. Usually you want to name whichever combo piece you don't have. Luckily, this deck rummages so much that finding two combo pieces and/or tutors isn't overly difficult, which makes Consultation a less risky play than in other decks. Of course. There's still the risk of losing on the spot if the card you name is in the top 6 (hope you have Necropotence on the field!)

There's not really a need for an extra discard trigger out of that guy. 3mana for 1 discard a turn isn't near enough value for a cEDH deck. For extra discard, you can run wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune because those have the upside of also drawing you a bunch of cards so you can continue your combo.

Have you considered peat bog or sandstone needle? They help with casting a turn 2 Anje into a turn 3 win. Also, Mogg salvage is a good option for a possible replacement for vandal last, often being free.

Mox Amber , maybe? Doesn't help with running out Anje Falkenrath , but is still free mana mid "combo" to keep you rolling. Not sure what I would cut for it, just an idea.

Hello artichoker,
Just wanted to thank you for this deck, it's being thoroughly played in our LGS. Also, one of our channel's members piloted it in :3

What are your thoughts on the black sacrifice rituals for ramp? Sacrifice, Burnt Offering and Culling the Weak can do some decent ramp, particularly if you madness out a random thing since madness costs are often much discounted from their regular CMC.

Hi artichoker, I don't know if you update this deck or play it for that matter at this point, however if you do I would love to know your thoughts and possible updates you would make to the deck with Modern Horizons 2 in mind. Thanks :)

Doomsday ing in this deck is actually kinda sketchy. you need to have another creature in a graveyard for you to win. othervise you just draw out the game
