I was looking at ways to use my origins clash pack to build a deck. The armed side of the deck seemed to work ok, so I started looking at ways to improve the deck. I found the article below at mtg goldfish, and the white weenie deck matched the style I seemed to be inadvertently building. http://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/playtest-magic-origins-clash-pack-10-upgrades

The aim was simple, get as many creatures out as quick as possible. The deck needed to be changed to match the current standard, so I found a few cards to use, mostly cheap Warriors.

So far, the deck is working well, however I am a bit lost on what to do with the side board. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First Standard round — Nov. 19, 2015

I attend my first actual Standard round at the local shop on Tuesday. We got in 3 rounds before running out of time. I think I ended up coming 4th/5th out of maybe 12 people. I won 2/3 games. The first round was against my housemate's (only opponent until this tournament - would you class it as a tournament?) elf deck. Win. The second was against a multi-coloured deck with siege rhinos and some other crazy stuff - I got smashed. Third round was against... I don't know what the aim of the deck was... Never really go to see it in full action. The first game we both need to mulligan, I won mainly cause he never had enough land to do anything. Second game, again, both mulligan'd - Opponent did it twice... I should have. Only had one land for the entire game and promptly lost. Third match up seemed close, although the opponent hadn't inflicted any damage on me, and I was on 21 life end game. He survived on 3 life for a number of turns and than 1 life for a few more. In the end it came down to drawing an angelic gift and being able to fly over is 2/2 warrior token from Gideon. Was an interesting game.

Anyway, a few people suggested looking the archangel of tithes, so I have substituted the War Oracles for the archangel. Hopefully make it to the store again next week for some more games.
