**Disclaimer. Yes there are 63 cards in the main deck, that was an accident that worked out surprisingly well. It got me 1st place in my previous tournament, so I see no reason to change it.

This is my Esper Control decklist for pioneer, literally a nightmare for decks that rely on creatures to win. My inspiration for the list is half Shota Yasooka's Grixis COntrol from the Kaladesh Pro Tour, and half Ivan Floch's U/W control at Pro Tour 2015.

14 people, undefeated and took 1st place with Esper Control. Matchups: Round 1: 2-0 Bant Investigate, taking advantage of multiple clue strategies from Shadows of Innistrad. Narset shut down the game plan really well. Round 2: 2-0 Bant Nexus, similar to the stock lists of 2019. Baited out his counter spell by attempting to Forsake his Azcanta then resolved a Teferi Time Raveler. Clean up was Unmoored Ego to strip away his Nexus of Fates, and the game ended quickly after that. Round 3: 2-1 Soul Flayer Suprise. Turns out an indestructible hexproof is difficult to handle. I took care of the first game's with my single Settle the Wreckage, but game 2 they got one fast enough that I couldn't stop it. Game 3 Unmoored Ego took out the Soul Flayers and Verdict cleaned up the rest. Round 4: 2-0 Golgari Constrictor. This is a match up I built the deck to defeat, and it did not disappoint. Game 2 they scooped after I exiled their 4th Hangerback Walker with a 3rd usage of Forsake the Worldly.
