@Scorpy The issue is that I will rarely have the mana to cast Grave Pact, very infrequently do we ever get more than two lands. Also the sideboard is completely packed right now, I couldn't really change what is in it if I tried... Unless some better demons came out.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestion!

Found a good card for your deck, it's Visions of Beyond

Nevermind, Surgical Extraction exiles everything, it doesn't send to the graveyard. :)

@robotherolove Too bad it doesn't work out the way that you want, but I probably wouldn't run Visions of Beyond anyways. If you draw too many copies of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, you will simply lose the game. Not exactly the most exciting of prospects.

Awesome deck would u want Leyline of Sanctity if they make you sac emruakul?

how do you do the side bar to advertise your deck out of curiosity?

lemmingllama says... #8
@Derpysquids Most people run targeted removal rather than edicts. I would not want to decrease the consistency of the deck just to hope that a turn 3 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can have extra protection.
@Minelia5 When you edit your deck, check the "Show other decks" checkbox

I doubt you'll use it here, but Graveblade Marauder could be used in a spin off of this for even more jank

@Kegrat If Surgical Extraction actually put the creatures in my graveyard rather than exiling them, then Graveblade Marauder would be a fabulous addition (although a different deck, because flying spaghetti is so much more hilarious). Sadly it wouldn't really work unless I did something like Thrumming Stone and a lot of tutoring for demons.

If you are forced to mulligan to six, what is the plan? Do you play an apostle and hope they kill it? Wait two turns to start the combo? Also, if you do mulligan and you still don't have the combo, are you just dead? How hard should you mulligan for this deck?

lemmingllama says... #12
@jld592 You don't mulligan, if you mulligan then you lose. That is why we run four Serum Powder, simply so we can get mulligans without going down in hand size. The only hands I would mulligan are ones with only Shadowborn Apostles and Emrakul, the Aeons Torns and nothing else. Technically any hand with a land and a Shadowborn Apostle is ok after you mulligan.

Love it. I was thinking of a dirty way to cast Reverberate/Sorin's Vengeance, and I may tinker with your idea and modify a few things to see if I can make it possible turn 3-4.
And does Emrakul have enough protection? Not sure if control decks have presented a problem or if Progenitus could be worthy of a sideboard; just in case.
Also, have thoughts of Gitaxian Probe arrived at all in case the draws treating you dirty?

lemmingllama says... #14
@TrollNtrample Feel free to do so, although it may be rough to find the mana required.
Also Emrakul, the Aeons Torn can't be countered and has protection from colored spells. We also get an additional turn when cast. It is theoretically possible for a control deck to deal with, but the annihilator 6 will likely destroy all of their lands.
Gitaxian Probe would be interesting, but it would also dilute the consistency of the deck. The only flex spots in here are lands, and I wouldn't feel safe operating with less than 12.

@ReyaSmith Glad you enjoy it. It isn't very practical for competitive, but it is more of a hilarious joke deck.

@Jimmy_Chinchila It's pretty fun. Normally after they see it once, they do everything in their power to stop you. But until then...

@LeafRebel What would I cut? There is next to nothing that can really be cut, except for a strictly better card. Even though a spell like Serum Visions could smooth out our draws, it would also make it so that a resolved Surgical Extraction wouldn't reliably get us below 20 cards.
January 2, 2016 7:02 p.m.
I would cut everything but:
- 4x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
- 4x Shelldock Isle
- 8x land to produce mana (maybe even less depends on consistency of the opening hand)
- 4x Surgical Extraction (and maybe add some Extirpate, for more consistency)
Thats 20 cards. This combo doesn't work with much more.
So cut as much cards as possible!
Anyways +1 for the new idea!

@Xica Serum Powder adds an additional layer of consistency since this deck can't mulligan. The singleton Rune-Scarred Demon allows us to keep hands with two lands and a bunch of Shadowborn Apostles, although its a tad slow.
The fail rate when you get the Surgical Extraction is fairly low so long as you draw a Shelldock Isle rather than all the Emrakuls. I personally believe the cards are all necessary
Anyways, glad you enjoy the deck.

I would put 2x Griselbrand in the sideboard instead of the Thrumming Stone (Take one out). Also I will sugest to play Creeping Tar Pit instead of Darkslick Shores unless your playing budget.

Thrumming Stone in the sideboard allows us to instantly win. We also don't need more than one Griselbrand since we can tutor for it.
Creeping Tar Pit comes into play tapped. That is too slow, since Shelldock Isle also comes into play tapped. We'd have to delay a turn to combo off.

Grave Pact could go well with the backup of sacrificing the apostles.
