Introduction

Game-plan

It is vital to resolve Chulane as soon as possible and then start casting creature spells to ramp and draw through the deck to find an infinite mana and draw combo. The creature package in the deck either provides mana , tutor for other creatures or can be used to disrupt other players or protect your own game-plan. By keeping the mana value of the creatures as low as possible, the engine value of Chulane can be maximised, Ornithopter and Memnite alone don't do much without something like Cryptolith Rite, but provides free advantage with Chulane, in some effect thinning the deck.

Combos

Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Chulane, Teller of Tales + Quirion Ranger draws the entire deck and produces infinite mana.

Chulane, Teller of Tales + Village Bellringer + a number of creatures that tap for mana draws the entire deck and produces infinite mana.

Chulane, Teller of Tales + Lotus Cobra + Shrieking Drake + Ashaya, Soul of the Wild draws the entire deck and produces infinite mana.

Chulane, Teller of Tales + Tireless Provisioner + Shrieking Drake + Ashaya, Soul of the Wild draws the entire deck and produces infinite mana.

Eternal Witness + Familiar's Ruse provides the ability to have at least counterspell up every revolution of the table.

Spore Frog + Vesperlark will provide the ability to soft lock at least one opponent out of combat.

Notable Inclusions

Familiar's Ruse is essentially a counterspell that can provide extra value bouncing a creature to be played again for extra value.

Vesperlark can be bounced with a number of effects to return useful one cmc creatures back to the field.

Ranger-Captain of Eos and Recruiter of the Guard can be bounced with a number of effects to return useful one cmc creatures back to the field.

Summary Dismissal is only really in here because my local meta decided it would be fun to start running Obliterate (casting it without any follow up plan sometimes too!), so it is easily replaced by any other counterspell
