This deck focuses on the synergy between creatures with the modular effect and Hardened Scales. The scales really ramp up the value of the creatures as they trigger when you cast the creature as well as when it dies. Proliferate effects are also available to pile on.

I don't have any Arcbound Ravagers in my collection, but I've been playing the much more affordable Evolutionary Leap for a similar effect. This gives you an engine to sac your creatures if they're being targeted with exile effects or if they'll be dying anyway. You're dependent on creatures in this deck, so it's great to ensure you'll have one in your hand to play. Sacking a thopter token is also a great way to fill your hand back with creatures later in the game.
