Archangel Aggro [1st at WNM]

Standard Aggro GW (Selesnya)

Snowballz

Sideboard

Enchantment (2)

Hey guys --

Built this deck for my local shops WNM (Wednesday Night Magic) event. See, my area has a fairly good amount of magic players and we were all wanting a second day of the week for some of us to play due to a lot of us working full-time jobs. WNM was created to appease us.

WNM is a ten dollar entry tournament in which only first is awarded a prize (Based on how many entries there were). It's risky but quite fun and a good test of skill due to WNM being attended by mainly competitive players.

About the deck:--- Modeled after the AA deck ran by Jonathan Job at an SCGSL with a few variations. Below is the WNM report!

(1st of 12) 08/28/2013

12 is pretty average for WNM, but then again this has only been in existence here for several weeks.

Round One: Archangel Aggro Vs. Jund [2-1]

F--- Jund. Game one was devastating for me. I had to slow of a start and by turn 4 and 5 he had dropped a Huntsmaster and Thragtusk. Kill spell, kill spell, kill spell.. Merp. Game two and three were in my favor. Dropped a Loxodon on turn two, followed with a bait for his Huntsmaster into an Advent. Game three was when a twin pair of archangels made him cry.

I hate jund.

Round Two: Archangel Aggro Vs. G/R Aggro [2-0]

Thanks Kibler for making this so popular. Jerk. Anyway, game one was pretty similar with us both ramping into our true power, however I was able to hang onto two charms for his Hellrider and Thundermaw that he tried to throw at me. Game two was more in my control. My three-drops did work as I laid down consecutive Fiendslayers and Loxodons, back with a Fiend Hutner, onto the board for victory.

Round Three: Archangel Aggro Vs. Naya Humans [2-1]

This is my GF. She hardly ever plays and has fairly basic knowledge of the game, but apparently the Naya deck felt like going off each and every game she played.

Game one was in my favor as her deck finally seemed to run out of steam. Game two she responded with this --

1st Turn - Champion2nd Turn - BT Emmisary, BT Emmisary, BT Emmisary, Lightning Mauler. Swing.

Guess what I had out. A PILGRIM.

I'm done.

Game three was pretty intense. She sideboarded a Thatcher Revolt in which threw me off a little, but I was able to use a Heroes' Reuinion to negate the damage and pull myself out of hell with some extra Fiend Hunters.

I won two booster boxes and got some good trades out of it.
