Modern Hoot Blade $100 budget

This is a deck I built to utilize Augury Owl which is one of my favorite cards.

Why Augury Owl? Easy. Early on he can scry and block, and helps you to get lands or dig for answers. Midgame he can carry a Sword or Hammer for you or tick the opponent down a few life points. Late game in top deck wars he can get those lands to the bottom of the deck. HOOT!

This deck's fun factor comes from its flexibility. It can act like an aggro, tempo or control deck depending on your hand and the situation. If the opponent is durdling, add pressure by dropping waves of birds/owls. Sometimes you can equip a sword and win via protecting the carrier. Or just go for the long game and resolve an Elspeth 3.0 or Jace AoT to bury them in tokens or CA.

If you are a fan of the CAW blade decks of old, this one is right down your alley. HOOT!

NOTE I get the actual budget by doing the following:

1) Add all cards in the deck minus basic lands to tcgplayer via mass card entry
2) Run the cart optimizer using any condition playable in sleeves (NM / LP / MP but no HP)
3) Look at the total shipped, then I date stamp it to show when I got the prices.
4) So basically at this point in time, I can click purchase and have the entire deck shipped to me ready to play for the quoted price.
