Some more changes —Dec. 24, 2020

In: Bitterheart Witch, Felidar Retreat, Norn's Annex, Martyr's Bond, Armored Skyhunter & Despark
Out: Demonic Lore, Harmless Offering, Treacherous Blessing, Court of Ire, Court of Ambition& Spirit Loop
I actually forgot to take Demonic Lore out when switching the commander from Ghen to Ardenn. Harmless Offering was in to use the Demonic Pact combo, but that card isn't even in the deck anymore either, so taking that out. same as the others, Spirit Loop is just a card I forgot to take out, it is very good with Ghen, Arcanum Weaver, but not so great with our current commanders. Treacherous Blessing is very bad if you don't have a way to get rid of it and since we aren't playing Ghen as our commander anymore, we don't want it. Court of Ire and Court of Ambition look realy good on paper, but if you can't keep that monarc, they are bad. Martyr's Bond cost more but just does more too. Armored Skyhunter lets me cast something for free if I hit an aura with it every time it attacks, it's insane value. Norn's Annex is just another protection enchantment and thats always good. these cards I put in are much better, Despark gets rid of nasty planeswalkers, Felidar Retreat gives me blockers and Bitterheart Witch fetches me what ever curse I want.

I really like the idea of a curse deck in these colours, and I like your choice of commander. When I was looking at Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist recently, I was trying to figure out how to use her best, and curses is where I went with that. You would probably want to pair her with Vial Smasher the Fierce. The cool thing about Ardenn is that if an opponent is about to be finished off next upkeep, you can just move all of those curses to another player so that they don't go to the graveyard. Or, you could play politics and move curses around based on that.

I see you already have her in this deck. Have you tried her as commander yet, and found that Ghen is better?

@kpres I know, I notice that with Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist too. To answer your question, I just built this deck, I haven't bought or tested it yet. using him as a commander is a fair shout, you can pair him with Vial smasher like you suggested or maybe even other colours like blue and black or something, with partners there are so many options but by cutting red you do miss out on some great things, not sure what good curses and stuff are in blue or other colours. I just looked at Ghen when I saw him and thought "hey, I already have a curse deck that runs Mathas, Fiend Seeker, I can just replace the commander and its so much better". I didn't think about the partners at all. fair shout for sure, it is an option, but for now I put Ardenn in the 99.

I feel like Ghen, Arcanum Weaver might be a better commander for this?

ZendikariWol he is in the deck too, so you can switch between if you like, but there are some other auras I would add if I used him. like all the Dragon Auras in the maybe section. The reason I swiitched to Ardenn was his ability to just move auras around from one opponent to the next, without having them go to the graveyard first.

Just to point it out, Ardenn cant give away Demonic Pact since its neither an equipment nor Aura. Nice start though.

This is great, very cool deck.

How about Accursed Witch  Flip and Bitterheart Witch?

@gsingh you are right, need to take that out, I only have Ghen to get rid of it, so it's of no use.

@seshiro_of_the_orochi I had Accursed Witch  Flip in the deck in an earlier version, the other one is pretty nice, it could find me Overwhelming Splendor and attach it to a player for nothing. very good thinking, thank you.
