Originally wanted to use the dual lands in the maybeboard for a quick win with Door to Nothingness. However the Torpor Orb only benefits towards creatures and it was just too slow relying on basic lands to bounce back into my hand. Switching to the gates/maze fetch allowed for a slightly slower but more consistent early game as I almost always have the Amulet of Vigor. Primary agro is from imbalanced creatures without their ETB effects, while I play my own minigame shifting land colors for the win through Door to Nothingness or Maze's End.

The main problem I have with this deck is fetch/card draw. Originally had Treasure Mage in the decks infancy, but that obviously doesn't work when you look at artifacts. Not being in modern isn't huge to me, but if anyone has suggestions to make it modern legal/fetch improvements, I'd gladly sack Rhystic Tutor and the like.
