This is my attempt of combining artifact bullshittery and Marchesa bullshittery to plop out this casual, multiplayer deck that can win when it wants to. This ultimate artifact deck is structured around artifact creature synergies and supporting the commander's board protection. Shout out to Addrum for all the help.

The foil cards are the highlight of the deck. All suggestions and upvotes are always appreciated.

Combos Show

• Tezzeret the Seeker : Vault of Whispers / Moltensteel Dragon life manipulation/ Steel Overseer / Ashnod's Altar sac engine/ Mycosynth Lattice to tutor for anything

• Hellkite Tyrant + Genesis Chamber / Mycosynth Lattice / Herald of Secret Streams / Whirler Rogue

Highlights of The Deck (The Foil Cards) Show

Hellkite Tyrant : Not only does Tyrant pass the vanilla test, with some underrated evasion, it enables another strategy, and then some. Tyrant can steal acceleration, steals any artifact-based strategy your opponent, punishes other artifact decks, and can provide a win-con that fits snugly in this artifact-based deck. Furthermore, it can act as removal with Extruder or Daretti, Shaper Savant's second ability, have its treasure protected under Darksteel Forge 's and Padeem 's wing, and pairs well with Genesis Chamber amd Mycosynth Lattice .

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed : Mikaeus is paired so well with the commander, even if it strays from the artifact creature theme. Every creature now immediately comes back, ETB with a +1/+1 counter on it, then can come back again at the end step to do it all over again. It's essentially another Panharmonicon , but its card type means it can be protected with the commander and others.

Unspeakable Symbol . Another staple for the commander. It can manipulate your life for dethrone, provide protection at instant speed in the form of counters, provide another combat strategy by altering the combat map at instantaneous speed, can provide fuel for counter synergies, like Arcbound Reclaimer or Crystalline Crawler . The Black Rose might finally achieve what she sought after for so long with this asset. All cards in this section are essential, but this is probably my highest recommendation. Extruder and Amok are similar, but I'd argue Symbol is the best of the bunch.

Padeem : A pompous, self-interested Vedalken with 6 fingers? A perfect pawn for The Black Rose. His lordly advantage will be of much use to the Black Rose.

Herald of Secret Streams : Nuf' said.

Notable Exclusions Show

Savor the Moment - This synergizes so well with any Marchesa deck. The untap step isn't too detrimenting to Marchesa as any sacrificed creature will come back untapped before the next turn, and won't affect mana rocks. I didn't put this into the deck because I didn't want a package/ theme of extra turns in a casual Marchesa deck, even if a unique card like this fits well.

It That Betrays - I think Hellkite Tyrant is enough fun police for this deck. I wanted to mention this because this is fits well with other, more competitive Marchesa decks, especially if edict cards are so essential and popular.

Deathrender - Another staple for Marchesa, but not for this deck. There's other artifact creatures that enable a similar effect, like Treasure Keeper , and Clone Shell (both not included).

Nim Deathmantle - I figured I should mention this because it enables an infinite creature combo with Wurmcoil Engine and a mana-producing sacrifice engine like Ashnod's Altar , as long as you put Wurmcoil's trigger first. Since I have no infinite mana interactions or need for it, it's out.

Flayer of the Hatebound - Flayer is a unique card that pairs insanely well with Marchesa. It has undying, a great ability for Marchesa as it can trigger an additional time and protect itself better, triggers on itself, and provides an amazing ETB effect for all creatures.

Cytoplast Manipulator - It can give any other creature a counter as they ETB, steal an opponent's creature, and remove it with a sacrifice engine, or steal it indefinitely with a sacrifice engine and Marchesa. This is a great card in Marchesa, but I'd rather stick to this deck's theme of artifact creature synergies and continue building on that to make the synergies stronger. There's also Simic Manipulator .

Pia's Revolution and Athreos - Revolution seems like such a good enabler in an artifact deck like this, but not too much with this commander. If the opponent does choose to return it to hand, you're forced to hard cast it, it takes it out of the ETB abuse, and takes it away from graveyard interaction like Trash for Treasure , Argivian Restoration , Beacon of Unrest , etc.

Trail of Evidence - Investigating is always good, and the art is great on this card. Investigating also increases artifact count, so it's great for Storm the Vault  , Reckless Fireweaver , Inspiring Statuary , etc.

BUDGET SECTION (outdated)

If you're building a similar deck, here's some budge options. Lands can be easily replaced, but look at these: Transguild Promenade , Rupture Spire , Rhystic Cave , vivid lands , and pain lands .

+ Whirler Rogue ; - Triskelion . Whirler Rogue is my favorite card in MTG, hands down. It's a fair four drop that provides some evasion and puts your stagnant artifacts to use, a good ETB effect, and its art is nostalgic as it reminds me of the Mistborn book series. Triskelion and Mikaeus were two combo pieces that are both late game drops, and I don't want to combo off in a casual setting.

+ Phyrexian Scriptures ; - Bontu's Last Reckoning . I'm excited to add Scriptures to this deck. It fits the tone with its art, provides the graveyard hate that EDH needs, and fits the themes of counters, artifact creatures, and board wipes.

+ Academy Ruins + Cabal Coffers ; - Thran Quarry - Glimmervoid . I think the deck would welcome a bit more graveyard interection and ramp.

+ Faerie Artisans ; - Sudden Spoiling . Artisans can produce ETB triggers, artifact synergies, and put you at the same level as your opponents, especially since most creatures in EDH will have valuable utility. I took out Spoiling because it sometimes won't fog and save anyone, this deck isn't very controlling in its primary strategy, and mirroring your opponent's utility while benefiting from artifact synergy is better than taking it away for a turn.

1/22/18

Huge update. Partly because I was very unhappy with the deck, and partly because I wanted to spice things up. Before this update, the main problems were horrible curve, not enough synergy, and had too much control for a casual, non combo deck.

+ Storm the Vault  ; - Grave Betrayal . As soon as I saw the Vault, I knew it would fit so well in an artifact-based deck like this. Even if Betrayal synergizes great with Marchesa, I'm changing the deck to support artifact creature synergies and further seperate it from a casual Marchesa like everyone else.

+ Combustible Gearhulk / Noxious Gearhulk / Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar / Yahenni / Nim Shambler ; - Counterflux / Pact of Negation / Summary Dismissal / Disallow / Arcbound Worker / Arcbound Ravager . More sacrifice engines and artifact creatures with great abilities, and less control spells in a combo less deck.

+ Pitiless Plunderer / Panharmonicon / Contraband Kingpin / Quicksmith Genius /Swamp; -Mountain/ Phyrexian Revoker / Storage Matrix / Stranglehold / Arcbound Crusher . More ETB abuse and artifact synergy; less non-casual, grindy, stax cards. I considered adding Sifter of Skulls or Pawn of Ulamog , but Pitiless Plunderer 's plops out artifacts (which can synergize with Storm the Vault  , Genesis Chamber , Padeem , etc).

+ Trading Post ; - Arcbound Reclaimer . Reclaimer fits perfectly in this deck; it's an artifact creature, that ETB with counters, can manipulate the counters on it, and provides graveyard recursion. I put Post in because it does the same duty with some added utility when you need it.

+ Bearer of the Heavens / Bontu's Last Reckoning ; - Insurrection / Thran Dynamo . More board wipes.

+ Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth ; - Clock of Omens . More lands.

+ Reckless Fireweaver ; - Hammer of Purphoros . This deck doesn't value aggro as much as I thought; the deck's primary goal is to out-value the opponent with artifact synergies and ETB abuse.

+ Herald of Secret Streams ; - Time Sieve . Herald is an auto include. All your creatures are unblockable, nuf' said. This type of evasion in a creature majority deck is exactly how this deck will win.

+ Sphinx Summoner ; - Platinum Emperion . I usually won't add tutors when I'm making this a more casual, non controlling deck, but Summoner fits the artifact theme. Emperion could possibly work against the deck too.

+ Skullclamp ; - Krark-Clan Ironworks . Skullclamp can provide so much draw, even if at sorcery speed, plus Ironworks only sacrifices artifacts.

+ Talisman of Indulgence + Talisman of Dominance ; - Mana Crypt - Hellkite Igniter . I'd rather have low mana rocks than such a high costing dragon.

+ Marionette Master ; - Flayer of the Hatebound . Flayer is a great card for Marchesa, but I want to stay on theme and really commit to the artifact synergies and rather have players lose life than take damage.

+ Duplicant ; - Treasonous Ogre . Ogre is a great card, as it can ramp and manipulate your life for dethrone; however, it only ramps red mana in a three color deck and you can't go crazy with it or untap it like a mana rock for further abuse.

+ Grim Haruspex ; - Arcum Dagsson . I'd rather have a consistent draw engine the reflects all the sacrificing in the deck, than a once-a-turn tutor in a casual match.

+ Darksteel Forge ; - Shimmer Myr . I think my artifacts needs a bit more protection in addition to Padeem . I might include Guardian Beast in later updates as well.

+ Inspiring Statuary / Etherium Sculptor ; - Blinkmoth Urn / March of the Machines . A bit more early game ramp was needed, not an enchantment that only animates a small proportion of the deck's artifacts, which won't come back with Marchesa.

+ Opal Palace ; - Darksteel Forge . Needed more lands, and this is the perfect one for this commander. I took out Forge because it's a bit costly for a deck that doesn't worry about board wipes too much.

+ Thran Dynamo ; - Mana Vault . Arguably better ramp in my opinion, plus I need more midgame ramp.

+ Clock of Omens ; - Unwinding Clock . Omens is more manipulatable and can suit my more urgent needs on my turn.

10/8/17

+ Blinkmoth Urn ; - Semblance Anvil . Despite my last update, I think Urn is better in terms of mid game strategies. If your artifact creatures are there to stay, which this deck is best suited for, then Urn has a lot of value in this deck. This update is rather surprising to me too, I usually don't like upkeep triggers and prefer things to cost less over ramping mana. But at the end of the day, Urn doesn't exile a hand card, has arguably better value, and it's acceleration isn't limited to the chosen card type(s).

9/15/17

+ Semblance Anvil ; - Chief Engineer . Better ramp. I cut Engineer for the same reason I would cut Fire Diamond for Ruby Medallion . Even with more tap/ untap themed cards, I like ramp that increases its value over time, especially in long EDH games.

+ Amok ; - Arcbound Overseer . I can't believe this card was under my radar for so long. Overseer is too much mana for a trigger at my long-awaited upkeep, which only targets a very small percentage of my deck, and all those +1/+1 counters only go onto one creature. I'd rather put a reanimation target in my graveyard to instantaneously plop a +1/+1 counter on any creature my little heart desires.
