The deck utilizes colourless ramp, with Urza lands and Loci, to reach the end game of colossi.

Early game, the deck focuses around Myr, which add to the ramp in addition to providing early defense.

Steel Overseer functions as an early, effective lord for all of the creatures.

Darksteel Forge makes removal much more difficult, while Platinum Emperion makes it difficult for opponents to take the deck down, especially when the two cards are combined.

Steel Hellkite provides a flying creature, which also works as removal.

Expedition Map finds the lands you need, and Thran Dynamo gives an additional ramp aspect.

Blightsteel Colossus and Darksteel Colossus are the end game, swinging for huge amounts that will overrun smaller creatures.
