So you mentioned that the deck produces infinite mana? Please explain. I haven't trawled through your maybe board cards but mainboard I cant see a single way the deck goes infinite. Also, your Researchcan at most give you 2 uses (again, via mainboard). How are you expecting to dump that many cards into the deck?

Let me see if I truly understand what is happening here: The creator of this deck claims to have every card listed. He has neither posted the pictures nor exhibited proof he owns the cards listed. He has issued a challenge to the site, asking us to show infallible proof that his 'deck' has been defeated. I am a little unsure exactly what would constitute proof, as reading the comments and seeing what I and many other players would consider as proof does not seem to work. Meanwhile, in his casual deck of cards he claims to own, not only does he walk all over the reserve list (which most casual long-term players respect), but asks that each of us respect the 4-of rule, have the actual cards and proof of ownership, and 'show' the deck has beaten his deck. A few things of note, of course, are how the 4-of rule is used, but the reserved list is not. Additionally, it appears that a few examples have been printed here on examples about how his deck could and would lose, but somehow and some way, we must show proof of this. Finally, considering his deck consists of gold-bordered cards which, unless I am mistaken, are not typically used other than for their intended purpose, as collectors' items, he submits that it is unreasonable for anyone else to proxy up a deck, which, in actuality, is what his 'deck' amounts to.
And as a special bonus, Matthew refuses to divulge his super-secret highly classified and mysterious prize.
Did I miss anything?

Not too mention the "requiring to own" part. No one wants to spend anything if we cannot have any conclusive evidence that this prize exists and even further still, having this prize delivered to us, AND be the real deal.

@AngryBearTony, Femme_Fatale, Magicrafter, enpc, and all who wish to know more.
You asked for it, so here it is:
http://www.klump-pdx.com/images/Artifacts_Challenge_Casual/ picture image list. The prize is listed there, and if I am actually defeated best 2 out of 3 of a fair casual match so I have a chance to respond with my side board.
I prefer to be challenged in person so I can see your cards.
As I said before, this deck has defied its own existence and now must be destroyed.
@enpc The reason for Research/Development is to bring about absolutely absolutely the worst grand finale conceivable by an extra handful of about 45 cards or so that are, yes, actual meant to directly shuffle into my deck after time has stopped from a Time Vault+Voltaic Key combination that has occurred.
After the time stop combination has occurred, the infinite mana of any color is brought about by 1xMycosynth Lattice + 4xVoltaic Key + 2xCandelabra of Tawnos + 1xSynod Artificer + many, many played artifacts + 1xTolarian Academy. Only one Tolarian Academy will be played here because only one specific named legendary card may be in play at anytime on either side.
The result of such a grand finale is so explosive, self detonating, and self destructive, that the result ends in a draw.
It is nearly the worst most ruthless deck ever brought into existence, it is forfeited, and it must be stopped at all costs.
Well, there you have it.
Take good care, and I wish you luck!...

Can you stop repeating yourself and actually answer what everyone has been asking? What is the prize? Once again, all you've basically shown is that 'It's a card from a collection' Which could be so shitty that it's not even worth the time it'd take to complete the challenge if a reasonable person was asking it, disregarding all the hoops you're asking other's to jump through. A collection doesn't mean shit. My brother has a collection, his most expensive card is a 2$ Lightning Bolt. Your prize offering could be the exact same way. Unless you let other's know what the prize is, NOBODY is going to take you serious. Nor should they, to be honest.

My binder weighs over twenty (20) pounds...
I have collected since 1996 revised edition and the dark expansion...
I am not able to upload my physical collection of cards to this sight with picture proofs because this sight won't let me or allow it from what I can tell...
Would you like to see my collection?
Hummm?...
April 24, 2015 4:17 p.m.
B.T.W. my binder is all rares and mythic rares, I have a separate box that is specifically set aside for common and uncommon stuff that usually no one else wants, but you're welcome to look at that too...
You'd most likely be spending your time looking within the 20 pound or so binder...
April 24, 2015 4:21 p.m.
Although, you are probably right also that there may be no challengers.
If you would, please consider that I also might be willing to trade for the right price :)))...

Here's the last thing I'll say about this ... person and his challenge. Please relay to everyone exactly how you decided which rules to follow and which you did not. Legendary and 4-ofs are okay, but not RL. I'm just curious what other rules changes you need to make in order to feel better about yourself and your inane challenge (yes, it's stupidly inane. Everyone can see this. Take their solutions or not, but you're at this point just a moron.)
Finally, if this fantastical challenge is by some stretch of the imagination an actual thing for you (I would snigger at this, but really I'm just laughing), keep in mind the fine people from this site don't want your crappy gold border cards that no one uses.
April 24, 2015 4:37 p.m.
@AngryBearTony Casual should have some guidance, but allow the choice of any card ever printed in mtg...
I needed gold border collector's and international english only to meet this challenge for this deck...
The rest of my rares and mythic rares 20 pound binder is real, I can assure you.
As I tried to explain, I have no way of uploading card photos here. I don't know yet what I can do about that. :(

@ mklump dude you can't use cards like AWOL because they are un-cards from un-sets... please READ THIS and educate yourself, they are meant as a joke...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unhinged_(Magic:_The_Gathering)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unglued
also: "Rulings10/1/2009 A card "from outside the game" may be a card from your collection or a card from your sideboard. In tournament play, you can't choose a card from your collection. The cards you choose don't all have to come from the same place.10/1/2009 The exile zone is a part of the game, so you can't get exiled cards."
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?&multiverseid=107375
you would have to previously agree with whomever you are playing whether to count your collection or not... if they disagree then you cant play.
lastly, gold border cards are for collection purposes and they act as proxies in a deck, by that logic, we are also allowed to use proxies.
since you seem to be picking out rules to follow and not follow, please outline ALL the rules that you intend to follow.
please source them according to the mtg site
otherwise you should really quit

Interesting, all the cards I purchased appeared quite real enough to me.
If you think my gold border cards are proxies printed off my printer, you'd better take another look at the photos again.
Here is the website again in case you missed it: http://www.klump-pdx.com/images/Artifacts_Challenge_Casual/

Yes of course, I will submit to any and all proper inspection...
April 24, 2015 5:59 p.m.
@peru_soldi The regular ruling for Research/Development at http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?&multiverseid=107375 will suffice.
There are no official set rules for any sort of casual play as defined except by these house rules: In this deck's original format, it never had a chance to win in the T1 format, EVER.
As it is now for casual play made from a four card limit, it now at least has a chance...
Take good care, and good luck!

OH dear God, did I scare away that many players?...
Is there there no one that can take on this nearly insurmountable challenge of challenges?...
Will anyone step forward to take on this issue which has been said in this thread this it cannot be done?...
Is this quest of mine to be HUMBLED by another player true as said by another player to not able to be finished? To not able to be done?...
Even if another challenger's deck were to be "proxied" like mine was said to be in this message thread as gold border collector's and international collector's english cards, is there even the slightest chance that this Artifacts Challenge Casual can be utterly brought low?...
The answer to all these questions is completely Yes, and that nothing including this challenge is totally impossible.
I believe in your ability to solve this problem.
I believe in the ability of each one of you to be a strategist and tactician.
I believe in the ability of each of you to think this through, and get this done...
Sincerely yours to the challenge of challenges!... :)

I don't think you scared off people, more that they don't care. I think you might be trying a little too hard to bring attention to this deck and so are getting all the wrong kinds.
My advice to you is:
tone down the drama a bit. Its a casual magic deck with a bunch of what most people consider to be only slightly better than proxied cards.
make the deck for an actual format. Anybody can cram a bunch of Black Lotuses into a deck and make it first turn combo. The challenge is actually building with boundaries.
You might get a bit more positive feedback this way.

WHAT IS THE PRIZE GOD DAMN IT. WE WILL NOT SPEND $500 TO MAKE A DECK JUST FOR SOME GOD DAMN PATHETIC PRIZE.
If you aren't going to give a very detailed explanation of this, you will forever be branded as a useless troll.

I understand the fact also that I am in the area of Oregon and Washington of the United States.
Please contact me if you are in the area of either Oregon or Washington.
To be fair to all listening in, I am trying to find a way legitimate and secure way to us both to host this online with our physical cards.
Again, I am unsure how to do that, so if anyone is reading this that thinks that can help host this challenge or a close enough meeting location then please let me know.
I would be in debt to help solve the logistics problem of such a challenge.
My contact info should be at the top open to all legitimate suggestions.
Sincerely looking forward...

@erabel I have no way yet of uploading pictures as proof that I truly own my cards that constructed this actual deck, but I can assure you that I do own my cards after having started collecting this deck since 1996 Beta, Revised, and The Dark expansion edition sets.
There is a droid application that I think I can upload pictures for this deck, side board, and maybe board that I physically own.
Give me an hour or so, I'll see what I can do.
Mind you these cards are not printed knockoff counterfeits, this is the Real McCoy.
