Based on some of the other descriptions I have this one will be relatively short. Slivers aren't an original EDH anymore, and the cards are pretty straightforward. This description is mainly for the reason why I wanted to jump on the bandwagon of slivers, as well as the story behind what they are in my head. As well as some of the major combos. Slivers were actually the first EDH deck I ever decided to build, then I set it aside to do other stuff. It's back.

In My Head Show

Slivers, to me, were always these incredible creatures that never had a true weakness. They were versatile to every situation, and never held back. I had this picture in my mind of an army in the dead of night. They've been called, and were searching, for the reason that villages have been slaughtered, burned, or disappeared without a single shred of evidence as to why. All of a sudden you hear a scream, but it's cut short. Everyone runs outside to see what it is, and are confronted with an army unlike they've ever seen. Half of the army has been slaughtered without even a single sound, the other half is in a staring contests with creatures that don't seem to have eyes. Deafening silence surrounds everything, paralyzing mystery holds everyone in place, and the slightest movement means death. Finally one brave soul runs to grab the closest weapon he can find which sets the end times into motion. The foreign army descends on the inferior race, and there almost seems like...laughter. Laughter in the body language of these creatures as they tear through human flesh like they're moving through water. Within a matter of minutes the human army has been completely torn apart...literately, except for the king. He lead his men to battle to combat the threat that had taken his land, his family, now his army, and soon his life. Everything had been taken from him. They surround the bleeding king giving him the last minute of his life to look at his killers in awe. Almost like they wanted him to see how he was wrong at even the thought of battle. He did his best to look at these god-like creatures with the energy that was left, and then a tear falls as he realized what was happening. There was no war. There was... no reason. This was an extermination. As his last bit of blood dripped onto the ground, as his world slowly became black looking at the so-called faces of these new beings, an appendage shoots through his body. As he drew his last breath...they took it from him.

This is a theme I wanted to make for the deck. Slowly building my army, just to see my opponent once they realize the threat. A staring contest that, as soon as my opponent makes the first move, I come crashing down meeting little resistance. Any that stand in my way have been destroyed. These are the main combinations in the deck that I would hope can create a similar feeling.

First off my commander is extremely powerful in his own right. Tutoring up slivers to meet the situation or possible stealing my opponents creatures with the help of Unnatural Selection. Also Training Grounds makes his abilities cost only one mana.

I'm actually not the biggest fan of infinite combinations, but I feel that Mana Echoes + Sliver Queen goes well with the flavor of the theme of slivers.

Those are the main combinations, and I'm not going to list every sliver as they are straightforward, plus no longer original as it has been done many times over.

I am more than happy to take any/all suggestions for the deck, and of course any questions to cards that maybe you feel don't belong. Thanks for taking a look at my version of slivers!
