Because I can't just leave well enough alone. Oathbreaker is rising, PDH is rising, so someone's going to combine them. Why not us, and why not now?

In a 60-card singleton format, every card matters, and losing access to a single card can break a deck. Ashiok, Dream Render prevents opponents from tutoring, including Terramorphic Expanse, Evolving Wilds, Riveteers Overlook, and similar cards. Smallpox keeps boards and hands clear.

This deck runs mostly at sorcery speed; balancing counterspell mana and sorcery-speed mill mana makes it hard to use either.
