Come live in the mountain with me.

The idea was simple. One Ashling, the Pilgrim. Ninety-nine Mountains. All the damage. This was quickly realized to be ridiculous. Ninety-nine mountains? How absurd. Clearly the correct number is sixty. But I learned quickly. I learned.

Ashling does a ridiculous amount of damage over a game. Unanswered, she just gets huge and beats you to death. When you do try and answer her, she just explodes killing your board. Then you play her again and let the cycle begin anew.

Ashling really only gets going as the game gets going. Your early game is all about setting yourself up for success. The deck lives and dies by it's non-land cards, so don't be afraid to aggressively mulligan away your mountains in your opening hand. You will see a lot of them. The most important thing is always have six mana open. Being able to kaboom Ashling at a moments notice is very important. You need all the damage you can get. I wouldn't even use it right before your turn if you expect some kind of shenanigans to occur. Always be ready to blow her up!

Sticking a mana doubler is huge, but be careful of Krosan Grip. If you only leave three land up, it makes you vulnerable to removal. If you give her lifelink, you've pretty much one the game. The best card in your deck is Opal Palace. You're going to be casting Ashling a lot. And I mean a lot. There is no better mana-to-damage card in the deck.

If you have a card you think would work great in the deck, let me know! I'm always on the lookout for more cool things to cram in here. Ashling is by far my favourite creature and I love making her shine.
