With Platinum Emperion you can still die to infect. Platinum Angel is better imo

09ALPHAROGUE yeah Platinum Angel is better than Platinum Emperion but no one in my play group plays with infect decks so Platinum Emperion will do just fine for this deck.

Recommend Vesuva instead of Thespian's Stage

Clokkwork thanks! its a really fun deck to play in multiplayer games with 3 or more players. VinierSpark018 thanks for the suggestion but in the description i wrote why I chose Thespian's Stage over Vesuva, I am running both 12-post and UrzaTron so based on the opening hand I can use it with either setup and the change to another once I get the right lands, it slows the deck down a bit but it gives it more versatility.

My only question is about the Memnarch in the sideboard's abilities. How do you get the blue sources for those, or did I miss something?

Clokkwork I use Mycosynth Lattice. The draw and tutor engine in this deck works quite well that's why there are only 1 or 2 copies of most of the cards in the deck. If worst comes to worst you can always use a Thespian's Stage to copy an opponents Island or duel land that produces . There is always someone playing with .

Gotcha! With so much tutor it definitely makes sense to use Mycosynth Lattice.

Clokkworkyeah if you put Memnarch in from the side board and use Mycosynth Lattice, Memnarch's first ability becomes irrelevant and its second ability instead of being basically becomes . Thanks for liking the deck, its a lot of fun and very versatile in multiplayer games. Your opponents might not think its a lot of fun once you start throwing down any kind of spells on the stack during their turn but all in all i like playing multiplayer with this deck.

I'm a huge fan of breaking the game with outrageous ramp, and I definitely feel like this deck is different, from say, a normal MUD deck in legacy. Very cool idea and theme, if only it wasn't so expensive. May I suggest Trinisphere? It can be super helpful in dealing with aggro and even control while you assemble your combo.

Clokkwork Thanks for the idea Think I might remove a Worldslayer from the sideboard and add Trinisphere, it has great potential when played with Chalice of the Void

what makes assembling the doomsday machine worth it is it worth the high price

This deck is awesome, albeit expensive. The high price tag comes from the high power of colorless ramp.

hark If you are a competitive player that only plays modern or standard this is not the deck for you but if you are a casual player that regularly has 3 to 6 multiplayer games like I do this deck is a lot of fun. building the deck from scratch is quite expensive, luckily I've been playing since Mirrodin so I had most of these cards in my collection and only had to get the few I needed to complete this deck.

Besides who doesn't want a board state where all your permanents are indestructible artifacts that untap during each opponents untap step and all your non land cards have flash. Like Clokkwork said the ramp on this deck is awesome.

i only play casual while trying to play standard because of friends im not challenging how fun the deck is or how good it is my point was for 800$ the board state seems less valuable if u have most the cards great i have always wanted some mirrodin cards i just don't have the time to look for them i started just to late to play mirrodin and i don't have the time to order them i said what i did because 75% of my decks are budget not all great not all bad i have trouble seeing how 800$ is worth something that's combo doesnt work without specific cards and mana. all this aside no longer judging price which i have been much to focused on the deck itself looks fun and since i kinda walked on your deck and started this i will first say sorry and then recommend March of the Machines which makes your combo large indestructible creatures that can block and attack at the same time sorry again and good day i would also suggest focusing your land base and getting more cards to assemble it.

and when and if u pick to go for one add a couple islands like 3-4 if u take my suggestion

He makes a good point, you fold to Blood Moon and well as Ghost Quarter, Fulminator Mage and especially Wasteland as it sets back the complicated assembly of all the pieces significantly. Crucible of Worlds is strong in the sideboard for the later three, but Blood Moon needs some attention. What do you do against it? Chalice for 3?

And hark, it's important to remember that he can easily tutor for an outrageous win con like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn plus Eldrazi Conscription with all the ramp, and the doomsday machine idea is part of the theme. It makes it so your board state is completely dominant, and that is what leads to the win. After having all the pieces you have indestructible, flash, vigilant aritfacts that all can be tutored for with Planar Portal. I'd say that's a pretty powerful combo, even if it doesn't win the turn it comes down.

hmm u make a good point Clokkwork he can tutor a fatty but in my last statement i said that the deck needed to 1 focus land base and with the extra cards splash blue for March of the Machines making the combo much less requiring or/ use the space to focus on the land base

and 2. if he flashes a fatty what if he cant play it it requires most of the time 6 tron lands with luck 5 not to mention 6 mana up front or u have to have 12 post up which is more convenient and that is hard to get so emrakul usally takes a extra turn to cast which is why i have another suggestion Quicksilver Amulet.

u make a very good point and i have no arguement to theme because well no real agruments able to happen. and the portal takes to much time to assemble and usally takes a turn to play the cards anyway making it less reliable there more tutors i suggest u consider or find a way to untap it/ reduce its ability cost (edit im not sure this works).

yeah there are a few cards that can seriously hurt this deck, Blood Moon, Hurkyl's Recall and Furnace Dragon (i'm sure there are others). For land destruction Crucible of Worlds really helps. for Blood Moon , Chalice of the Void will have to do the trick. luckily normally by turn 3 I have available and can cast a variety of spells with removal abilities the best bet for a possible next turn Blood Moon is Karn Liberated. what makes Blood Moon not that big of an issue for this deck is the fact that i will still be ramping (albeit slower) with Walking Atlas to be able to play any of the variety of removal this deck has at its disposal.

Planar Portal comes at a price yes but if you can get at least Mycosynth Lattice and Unwinding Clock out you can use the portal each turn even in your opponents to look for what ever it is that you need to deal with a certain threat.

the most dangerous card I've played against for this deck remains Furnace Dragon. With Mycosynth Lattice in play the dragon most of the time only costs to play because of its affinity. it has its draw backs to its controller but completely smashes this deck. I've managed to bounce back after a play like this by setting up Urzatron again and using Karn Liberated's ultimate to restart the game.

But all in all, the games I've played with this deck I'm quite happy and will not be changing much for now.

sounds like furnace dragon ruined you both that game one question though why did he play it is a 5/5 really worth exiling your board especially with all the eldrazi using cards from exile now.

I would actually argue against March of the Machines, with Mycosynth Lattice on the field Ann lands on both sides become 0/0 creatures and die instantly. Not really something you want in a land heavy deck
