Working on a Pioneer version of one of my fav/pet decks, Atarka Bushwhack/Zoo.
Unsure how effective this strategy will be in Pioneer, considering a few key cards are missing (most notably Goblin Bushwhacker, Lightning Bolt, and the main red 1-drops such as Goblin Guide and Kird Ape -- or Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer if you're rich. I don't really like the deck leaning too much on either color (green in this case) when Burning-Tree Emissary is being used..
Greenbelt Rampager as a replacement for Vexing Devil (which I usually like to use in my lists with Pelt Collector) seems a bit janky (even with Voltaic Brawler to help it along... as does the use of Reinforced Ronin over the modern format's red 1-drops (I'd probably even use Signal Pest here, but unfortunately he's not legal, either). I don't really like Bomat Courier in these lists and we're not casting enough non-creature spells to make Monastery Swiftspear very good. Right now I've got a split of a few red 1-drops; may fine-tune it later if I need to.
2-drops are also split here, both due to not wanting to draw multiples of certain ones and also because this is not a tuned list yet. In modern I've always liked playing the R/G zoo variant of the bushwhacker deck better than the red/all-goblin version, but in Pioneer it's just not clear to me what the best creatures are.
Bonecrusher Giant is such an incredible card that it's hard for me to not have some number of them in any aggressive deck w/ red in it... That said, 3-drops aren't really what this deck is looking for, and, as good as its stomp/skullcrack ability is, it's definitely the worst of the 2-mana spells/abilities in this deck. The card may also be better in the board than the main deck (to be brought in against lower-curve red decks where we're no longer clearly the aggressor).
WIP for now.
