hmmm... What would you switch out Stitched Drake with?
October 17, 2013 9:24 p.m.
i'd just swap out Scrapskin Drake . same mana cost and a boost in power and toughness. that is if you think your graveyard will be full enough. you dont wanna have too many creatures relying on you being able to exile creatures from your grave.

I guess, so? I wasn't thinking, how I wanted to deck to win.Just how I wanted it to play. and went from there. I guess, it end up aggro after all. I would like to add two to three more Creature in it.(The third being a Ephara,)
It's meant to play defensively
any thoughts?

not really sure what your trying to accomplish with the deck...i guess aggro-enchantments with card draw?
its not my deck, but i really like it, maybe it might help if you take a look at it Puppet Heroes. It might give you some ideas or at the very least you could just swap out the cards you dont want for some that suit your play style better.

acousticcancer It's kind of aggro-enchantments with scry & draw capabilities. The issue am facing with the deck. As you could see. Is the deck is pulling it's thin.
The cards I would like to keep in the deck are Aerie Worshippers , Ephara's Enlightenment & Oracle's Insight . However, everything else at this point is fair game at this point.
If it help you. I build the deck defensively. Due to the fact. I play six player games. and the other players team up against me. Due to how strong my other decks are.

hmmm...it just feels like you should focus more on 1 or 2 themes, like aggro and enchantments or aggro and draw instead of trying to balance all of them.
I cant say I'm a fan of Aerie Worshippers because you have to find a way to tap it first and that might mean attacking which isnt its strong point, and if your spending mana for those tokens then will you have enough mana too play something like Dissolve or anything else? If you really wanna make it work then we can do that. Springleaf Drum is another more reliable way of taping the worshipper and you get mana out of it which is helpful, especially if your considering running a third color. There are many mana rampers and fixers in green in you decide to go this route.
Scrying is very helpful, but its not game winning and you shouldn't focus so many cards on it. Idk what your budget is, but Thassa, God of the Sea is really the best card for scrying.
Youre seriously better off running basic lands instead of Unknown Shores . Its better in limited than constructed.
All in all, you have a lot of cards to scry and draw, but what are you hoping to draw into? i dont see anything to help win a game. I honestly just think you need to think of one main goal you want to have whether that be Scry, Draw, Enchantments, Heroic, Inspired, Being Aggro, Ramping into big creatures, Being Controlling, ect. whatever the case, pick something you like the most and go from there and then pick something secondary that assist the main goal like Ramping and Draw or Scry to help find your creatures faster or Heroic and Enchantments which is pretty fun.

acousticcancer I thought finding away to tap Aerie Worshippers was going to be issue at first too. But,Then ran I into Oracle's Insight & Ephara's Radiance and Springleaf Drum isn't a bad idea either.
But, your right. I need to think my over all goal. and get some lower costing cards in the deck. I think, the best idea is to switch out Prophet of Kruphix and the forest. Even thou, it could give me an awesome combo.
am also playing with the idea of putting in the Hundred-Handed One . What do you think?

those are decent cards, the only issue with those is anyone could just doom blade your worshipper and 2 for 1, Springleaf Drum isn't as strong as those cards, but you don't have to worry about that, and you get some mana out of it at the very least. That and you could have those slots for anything else that would help win the game instead of just helping you draw or stall with life gain.
I actually like Hundred-Handed One a lot, but he lacks the power to end games without a little help, Ephara's Enlightenment can help out with this a bit making it a 4/6 flying, vigilance creature that can become stronger through monstrous. So not completely worrisome for an opponent, it can become a threat if left unchecked. If it gets killed tho, which it might, then you still need an alternate win condition.

acousticcancer with cards like Doom Blade was one of the reason I have the Dissolve . While am not against taking out or making the card count lower. the card will help.
about the only really second win condition I can think of. is Fated Retribution Which really doesn't help me win. But rather, draw out the game.
Within the sets am trying to stay to. am not sure what second win condition I can pull off.

I was wondering what the game plan is, like it has been said, you need to decide on the big 4 strategies and I feel like scry fits best into a control or combo oriented deck best. This deck feels more midrange aggroy despite having some control elements. If your counters turned into bounce spells it seems like you could call it "midrange tempo."
The downside to Block Constructed is UW doesn't have much for early game control. It's more of an aggro strategy riding some of the white heroic enablers and digging with Battlewise Hoplite . All that being said I haven't spent too much time looking at BNG. Once I saw Satyr Firedancer I picked up my modern deck and adapted it. I've been in commander mode lately too so take what I say with a grain of salt.
It seems like the Gatherer is down at the moment so I can't say much more.

Thats good that MindAblaze! said that, card draw and scrying are indeed more control oriented, and so are your counter spells. Your creature and enchantment choices dont assist controlling to much and vise versa. Aggro-enchantment and Control are play styles that dont mesh to well together and Midrange, while being a hybrid of these two, is still different from either one if you wanna go that route.

MindAblaze! , acousticcanceram not 100% sure which direction am going to take this deck yet. However, I think am going play around with the idea of tapping & untapping my Creatures. with cards like Triton Tactics & Prophet of Kruphix
While not having so many counters. I guess, this will make it a midrange control or hybrid.
