This is my black & white Athreos & Deathbringer Liege deck which focusses on Athreos, God of Passage, Deathbringer Liege, & Authority of the Consuls.

It is more than a fun deck to play, with lots of nice effects - tapping creatures (Authority of the Consuls), kill tapped creatures (Deathbringer Liege), making the enemy loose life (Obzedat, Ghost Council) while making the own creatures live longer (Selfless Spirit) and even perhaps they come back again because of Athreos, God of Passage if the enemy doesn't want to loose 3 life.

17 cards have both black and white mana in their casting-costs, so both effects of Deathbringer Liege will trigger and you can instantly destroy a creature when you play a multicolored spell.

By the way, when the devotion to & has reached finally 7 and Athreos, God of Passage is in play, he becomes a even more real pain in the ass -> a 5/4 indestructible creature.

Through Authority of the Consuls the enemy's creatures come into play tapped, so the enemy's deck is slowed down a little bit (if it has a lot of haste creatures etc.) and gives you some time to breath to summon the bigger creatures like Deathbringer Liege and Ob Nixilis, Unshackled or prepare a spell (Fumigate, Infest) to destroy the enemy's creature.

Finally there are some annoying cards like Desecration Demon or Sorin, Solemn Visitor to disturb the enemy and to get slowly stronger and stronger :-).

I'ts not the cheapest deck because of 3x Athreos, God of Passage, 4x Deathbringer Liege and 4x Fetid Heath. But i think it is worth it (perhaps you own some of the cards), and maybe you can exchange Fetid Heath with some other dual lands.

When i have tested out the deck more against my magic buddies i will write down some improvements or edit it.
