This is my take on Orzhov aggro (thats a thing now?) but when i first saw Athreos, God of Passage i literally LOL'd. Athreos, God of Passage is easily one of the most broken cards in standard right now. Basically this deck is made to get scary really fast and even control your opponent. Once you get out Athreos, God of Passage and some other key cards your only job is to sit there and watch your opponent panick and say GG with a smile on your face. But lets go ahead and break down the deck and explain the cards.
1 Drops -----
Boros Elite~WHY WOULD YOU NOT PUT THIS BEAST INTO AN AGGRO DECK. ITS BASICALLY A 1 DROP 3/3
Soldier of the Pantheon~ a turn one 2/1 pro multicolored? LOL @ ESPER AND OTHER DICK CONTROL DECKS. oh and lifegain for multicolored spells? dont mind if i do.
Brave the Elements ~ since every creature in this deck is white (with the exception of Xathrid Necromancer ) this card is a one drop pro any color and it protects all your creatures. youd be crazy not to run this with white. SCREW YOU MONO BLACK
2 drops -----Cavalry Pegasus ~ i mean come on its a flying fucking horse need i say more? no but seriously, let me just swing with my army of flying soldiers.
Precinct Captain ~ not only does this stud have first strike, but he has first strike and lets me get a 1/1 chum blocker.
Cartel Aristocrat ~ if you have Athreos, God of Passage out this card is hilarious pro whatever color you run and if you dont take the life im just gonna recast it
high preist of penance ~ just LOL.
Imposing Sovereign ~ now i get to swing freely cause your blockers come in tapped. control in an agrro deck? who said it wasnt possible.
Ultimate Price ~ i figured since there arent a lot of multicolored deck builds other and esper, UP would be a good source of removal. whats a mono black deck?
3 drops ----- Xathrid Necromancer ~ since every creature is human i would have been dumb not include this boss. a 2/2 zombie sure ill take that.
[Banisher Priest]] and Banishing Light ~ these cards are basically identical except one can attack. oh you have a Godsend not anymore LOL
and finally Athreos, God of Passage is a description even necessary? ..im serious.
If youre not tired of reading by now I will explain the main combo of the deck that is just hilarious if you get it out and running early game.
Athreos, God of Passage + Xathrid Necromancer + [Cartel Aristocrat]] this, in my opinion is one of the funniest combos to abuse especially when you look across the table and see your opponent start to pile up his mana or frantically look through his hand.
