Atlas Shrugged (Standard MTG Deck)

My first attempt at Maze's End TurboFog. 14 Fog effects means I need to draw 2-3 extra cards per turn, and wrath once in turn 4-6; that pretty much wins the game vs fast aggro. Golgari, etc can't touch this. Sphynx's, Opportunity, and Urban Evolution keep my hand full for the fogulation, while D-Sphere and Abrupt Decay stop Domri Rade alts or remove bad things like Heliod, God of the Sun or Deathrite Shaman. Against most creature decks (not Golgari or anything the loves creature removal too much) I'll typically board in both Isperia's game two; most creature removal will be gone by then, and she provies [i]so much draw power[/i]. Against control, it's Prophet of Kruphix and Crackling Perimeter. Pithing Needles go in against bad planeswalkers; Swan Song is a must against Ruric Thar, the Unbowed or Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver

Round 1: 2-1 vs Azorius Auras (pretty new player)

This was pretty close to the Event Deck; I lost game 1 to keeping a bad hand and catching some untimely countermagic. Games 2 and 3 were textbook fogulation.

Round 2: 0-2 vs Mono-Green Devotion

Bad round for me. This should be my bread and butter; I played land badly and was unable to turn four Verdict against a huge overcommitment (three (!?!) Burning-tree emissaries turn two?)). Needless to say THAT cost me the game.

Game two I took a risk and tapped out for Isperia turn six; I had fifteen life, two fogs and not much else in hand; he had Garruk at six counters and ten damage on the board. He -3d, dropped a Worldspine Wurm, then tapped out for a 15/15 Mistcutter Hydra, swung in for lethal. Ouch.

Round 3: 1-2 vs Azorius Control.

Took a long game one; he turn 1 pithing needle on Maze's End, turn five Jace, Memory Adept game two AND three. I barely resolved spells.

Round 4: 2-0 vs Golgari Midrange

Game one was hairy; be boarded out eight removal spells and Isperia did the work game two.

Round 5: 2-0 vs RDW

Pretty much textbook, although both games were long and he got me to 5-6 life a couple times.
