Atraxa, Grand Unifier. Win the Way you Want!

Commander / EDH GWUB

This is my take on an Atraxa, Grand Unifier deck! After seeing the typical Demonic Consultation Thassa's Oracle combos in other cEDH lists, I wondered to myself, "what if instead of Demonic Consultation Thoracle combos, I crammed in almost every card that has an alternate win condition, like Approach of the Second Sun?". So that's exactly what I did!

The goal of the deck in the early game is to ramp into Atraxa as fast as possible and get up on card advantage fast with her ETB effect. Then once she's hit the battlefield, use blink effects like Ephemerate to get additional card advantage. Find some no maximum hand size effects like Decanter of Endless Water or Thought Vessel to get around discarding to hand size at the end of your turn. We have Azusa and Loot to help us dump all of the extra lands that we'll be finding with Atraxa's ETB trigger to ramp even more to play more shenanigans.

Plenty of board wipes to slow the game down when necessary to help us get to our many win conditions while we knock our opponents down a peg. And who knows, you might just be able to pull a win with Revel in Riches, and have some extra treasures, as a treat.

We like gaining life, so why not win the game with our life total by bonking our opponents with our 7/7 keyword soup commander? Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance can help us with that.

Triskaidekaphile and Twenty Toed Toad will help us win the game with just the cards in our hand and nothing else.

We have infect, of course, and commander damage too of course, some of the most controversial win conditions in commander.

And sometimes, you just want to make a Doomsday pile and throw a Labratory Maniac in there and try to deck yourself out and win the game for it!

This deck isn't meant to be really good, it was simply a fun thought experiment for me to build a commander I've always wanted to make, but to put my own spin on it.

As you may have noticed, there is practically no interaction in this deck. I had a hard time making room for it to try and put in all of the best alt win cons.

If I've missed any potential other cards with fun alternate win conditions, leave a comment on my deck to let me know! Despite it not being the best deck, I think it is still genuinely really fun, and can pull off some really early wins if you draw the right opening hand. But hey, sometimes you just want to sacrifice Atraxa to The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride for some turbo ramp and re-cast her on your next turn. Or, sacrifice her to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and deal 7 damage to the whole table. You paid 7 mana (and potentially a decent chunk of change) for Atraxa, so you're entitled to get the absolute most value out of her!

Thanks for checking out my (hopefully) pretty unique Atraxa, Grand Unifier list!
