Both Tamiyo Emblems + Tutor or Draw spell = Draw your whole deck. I don't run Lab Maniac but I'm wanting to more and more just so people quit when I stasis lock instead of trying to fight me still, saying they'll play it out cause my library has less cards and I'll deck out.. Ha/ Some people are tenacious bastards in this game.
I'm considering doing another version of Atraxa that reanimates and spams ETB triggers. Animates lands into 1/1 or 2/2 creatures and board wipes or mass -1/-1 Toxic Deluge is already my favorite creature wipe.

I just realized you don't have any Auras in the deck. That really makes Boonweaver Giant pointless.

An Aura is an enchantment that enchants a permanent or player. These days, that card type and subtype is "Enchantment - Aura" for Auras

Ya boonweaver is in there for grabbing pattern for the win out of a lock. Makes it easier and faster if people do decide to play it out, just kill the table.

I know containment priest is a good hate card, but doesn't it run counter to the boonweaver combo plan that the deck uses?

Ya, but when I'm going off with boonweaver I just sac the priest.

joseph6708 I have been working on a Atraxa Stax/Superfriends build for a while now and have finally gotten it to a place where I'm feeling pretty good about it, would you mind checking it out and possibly giving some constructive criticism? I ask because when I started the build I used the list you started out with for inspiration and went from there. If not thats cool too and thanks for the inspiration :)

MrGrizzly your list looks pretty good. Only question I have is regarding glacial chasm and homeward path. Are those in there due to meta? Also, after piloting the deck as much as I have dovin baan has started to feel a bit win more. I would swap him out for doubling season. Has luminarch ascension been any good? It feels too slow for the deck. As for alternate wincons, I tried boonweaver but it's kinda clunky in this deck. I'm thinking storm might be the better option. The win package is more compact albeit a bitharder to assemble, but it's got better redundancy. I feel like if I go for storm it may be better to just swap over to thrasios vial smasher instead.

joseph6708 thank you for your response and feedback! Glacial Chasm and Homeward Path were just a few utility lands I was testing out, especially Homeward Path: in the earlier versions of the deck, it relied too heavily on Atraxa for the win. Maybe now that I've gone for a more versatile build that doesn't lean on her so heavily, it might be unnecessary. Same deal with Glacial Chasm, with Zur in the deck (along with Solitary Confinement) its much easier to maintain a pillow fort effect. Luminarch Ascension is another wincon I'm testing, and its been going pretty well, with Atraxa out I dont even have to refrain from taking damage. Not to mention its another way to make sacrifice fodder, always welcome. And I agree, Dovin Baan could definitely be cut for something better (like Doubling Season) and Ill probably cut the Chasm and Homeward Path. Im considering Ancient Tomb, Buried Ruin and Volrath's Stronghold.

Ancient tomb is awesome, doesn't help much with getting ayraxa down but it ramps a ton and can help drop rocks early on. I'd probably grab volrath's stronghold as the other utility land since it doesn't require being saced to get value.

I do not understand why Humility is in this deck list. It shuts down all the hatebears, your commander, and your alternate win con. It affects quite a bit of your Stasis locks, and you are only running one removal spell. If Beast Within is in your grave, you have no outs to Humility. Is it solely in here to get your planeswalkers to their ultimate? If that is the case, you would probably be better off with something like Ensnaring Bridge, or Meekstone. Personal recommendation, Massacre Wurm should be Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. It works better with your commander, with your hatebears, with Living Plane, etc. It is a longer lock than Massacre Wurm and just synergies with your hatebears strategy. Lastly, you should have Weathered Wayfarer, and Deathrite Shaman in this list. With 31 lands, the wayfarer gives you consistent land drops, and the shaman gives you a win con when you have the lock. Other than the Humility, which is completely wrong for this list, this is a pretty good deck.

Humility was being tested to see about shutting down creature heavy decks, which it absolutely did. It also let me ult tammy super easily, which ended up becoming a win con on its own. Usually massacre wurm puts me far enough ahead that the fact that it doesn't shut things down as long ends up beong irrelevant most games. Wayfarer and deathrite should absolutely be in the list though.

Personal opinion. Humility seems so counterproductive to your goal. I just don't see how planeswalkers survive a creature heavy deck. I also don't understand how even getting the emblem helps. You get emblem, you cast whatever you want. What do you cast to win? Not Boonweaver Giant, not Zulaport Cutthroat, not creatures in general. You can cast stax pieces for free, which means you stall and hope your opponents can't win. If Humility is on the board, you cannot win. Right? Unless Jace, the Mind Sculptor performance is over the top, you are all in on the emblem and Toxic Deluge board wipes. Maybe if Disenchant was Aura Shards I would not be critical of this strategy. I guess I see Humility as a real double edge sword that cuts you more than your opponents. Keep in mind, I don't know your meta, or how you play the deck, or your opponents that you play against. It just seems bad to play a card that appears to hurt you pretty badly.
March 16, 2017 7:28 p.m.
Side note. Noble Hierarch should be considered for this deck, mostly because of exalted. There has been a comment or two about money constraints, so I know recommending Gaea's Cradle would be almost considered trolling, but hatebear decks do gain considerable advantage from it.

So is this the version of the deck your currently playing? I ask because your description mentions cards such as derevi and brago, etc. But neither are actually in the list, is there an updated version of the list elsewhere? Im rather intrigued by this deck, thanks for your time. And good work!

It doesn't seem like you have enough non land mana sources for Winter Orb to be worth it

Any control strategy like this one would benefit from a Rishadan Port if you have one.

So I actually haven't played this list in a while. This particular iteration was an attempt at making the deck a bit faster by running boonweaver combo, but that was super clunky so I changed it back to a much heavier stax list. I can update the list here if you'd like so you can see what is currently in the deck.
Winter Orb works just fine since I'm able to untap permanents with Teferi, Lands with Garruk, and once I have a lock established I'm not really casting any spells.
If I had a copy of Rishadan Port I would absolutely be running it.
This list is needs to be updated. I'm currently running inkmoth nexus, tainted strike, skittles, and ichor rats for poison damage.

I liked making one of my tapped out opponents draw 20 also so I can cast Whispering Madness.
