I would take advantage of the proliferate and put in +1/+1 counters.

I would honestly look into just running her as a voltron-infect commander. she is super good already with all her evasion and the like. add a sword and grafted and boom. death. her second ability is even better if they just get to 9. they die anyways

I look forward to seeing the Voltron version. So far all I see are Superfriends and Infect. I have a shiny Sword of Fire and Ice invention that is begging for a deck and she naturally lends herself to Umezawa's Jitte.

Yes, good suggestion

I would also suggest Phyrexian Crusader especially if you are fighting other Commander 2016 decks. Infect + First Strike + Prot. Red and White is too good to pass up for 3 mana and since all the 2016 commanders have these colors its a bit of a meta choice. I would also suggest the card Grafted Exoskeleton since it is a repeatable way to give creatures like Craterhoof Behemoth or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite infect similarly to the card Glistening Oil I mentioned before. Blightsteel Colossus exists as a 1 shot finisher but DO NOT take it if people run Bribery or other stealing effects in your group. How has Tezzeret's Gambit been working for you? I personally think it could be replaced with a more powerful draw engine like Greater Good, Necropotence, Phyrexian Arena, Blue Sun's Zenith, etc. The proliferate is nice but your commander already does it every turn and 4 mana for 2 cards hardly seems worth it. Other cards I would call into question based on speed and power alone is the Odrics, Debtors' Knell (Coffin Queen and other effects are the same thing but cheaper. Already have Sheoldred, Whispering One), Rhys the Redeemed (Only makes tokens and her power is for max token decks), and Tempt with Discovery (Your most powerful land is Inkmoth Nexus while their's could be Cabal Coffers, Gaea's Cradle, or Dark Depths into the immediate Vampire Hexmage).

My original idea was to be a wide token/counter deck that proliferates and has infect.

This build is my initial build at atraxa and does need soke work. Im slowly working my way back to this build to make it purely infect and not just some conglameration if EVERYTHING that this list has become. Basically ill be taking alot of the token generation out, ezuri, some of the more expensive recursion, and putting in more stream-lined infect and proliferation engines as well as utility for protection and draw power.

Alot of what you suggested Perfect_Phyrexia as been ticklimg my mind for the past few days but have either been too distracted by other projects or IRL stuff.

Great changes KailDaemon! I was looking at your decklist and wondering what your thoughts would be about these ideas. Your deck is creature based since it is a infect deck, and Skullclamp is notoriously broken in these builds. I would highly recommend it since it can give you that extra point of infect damage and draw a disgusting amount of cards. Another card I would recommend is Genesis Wave and might replace Chord of Calling with it. Instead of tutoring 1 creature you can shoot out a bunch of Infect creatures. Its personal preference for me to replace Solemn Simulacrum with things like Sylvan Library, Nature's Lore, or Sakura-Tribe Elder. I would switch out Rhystic Study for Necropotence but that is probably a personal preference. My group usually pays the troll toll. I would switch out Putrefy for Aura Shards to be super mean.

Necropotence is too color heavy though. I think Greater Good could be good to kill things that have Skullclamp on them or are at risk of getting exile. What are your thoughts about putting in mass reanimation?

Running this commander with an infect list is the epitome of flavor!

I'd definitely throw in Vraska the Unseen. Her ult makes me think of "super infect", and you can get there after only 1 turn.

I remember the greatest time I ever encountered infect in an Edh game, it was between me and 3 other friends, and what happened was one player never got to do much of anything because they drew no lands or mana rocks whatsoever and so they were stuck with 2-3 lands I think it was. While my second opponent I never let do much as I countered, destroyed or killed his stuff, and so the game was almost really just between me and my other friend.

While the other two couldn't do much, the match was really just between my Vorel of the Hull Clade deck and my opponents Mimeoplasm deck, and it was rather a stalemate for a long time until I went ahead and attacked them with my Sphinx of Magosi that each turn I was making slightly stronger with my leftover mana. So my opponent had to take the 9 damage as he had no way to block it in the air and at that very moment our other opponent I told you who did next to nothing up until that point of the game suddenly cast a Tainted Strike out of nowhere's on my Sphinx of Magosi to take out my opponent right away! It was so unexpected but hilarious.

Dont need it...half of my lands make any color and i can keep proliferating to keep it that way

Blood Moon is a thing though..

I said the same thing until about omen until a blood moon hit the table

My meta doesnt have a blood moon fortunately but noted

November 18, 2016 10:34 p.m.

Blood Moon and Magus of the Moon is pretty much the only hard counter to this deck besides extreme control. Would you also consider Berserk?

Have you considered Bloom Tender? She's ridiculously good with the 4 colored commanders. Anything 3 colors and up, really. With the right two lands on T1-2, Atraxa can be pulled out on T3, without even touching your mana. She's an essential, in my opinion.

Bloom tender is amazing...however i think you forget that all lands are colorless unless they have an inherent effect or a nonland effect gives lands colors. Lands csn tap for colored mana, but the permanants themselves are in fact colorless.

i.e: steam vents taps for either or but the card itself has no color therefor we would produce nothing with bloom tender except for if bloom tender is the only colored permanent we control at the time of its activation.

I've been playing mtg for 14 years now, and in all that time, it never occurred to me that basics, shocks, and the original duals are actually colorless.... Im not sure if I should be ashamed or impressed. Thanks for the education.

Its all good man, you still suggested a fantastic multi colored deck mana dork. Your reason behind it was mistaken but still a good one. Im happy someone learned something and hope that knowledge spreads to those you also find who lack that knowledge and improve their card ruling knowledge. Thank you for the suggestion!

I actually run bloom tender in two of my other 4 color commander decks, with one of them able to go infinite because of it.

The decks are respectively my Gay Pride Jeskai Ascendancy and Draw Alot, Win Alot (Kydele/Akiri) decks
