Sideboard


Enchantments:

Assemble the Legion: Self explanatory, every turn getting more and more tokens

Spear of Heliod: This card not only works as a way to boost my creatures but also becomes a deterrent. If the opponent sees that I still have mana available they will think twice before attacking me because they know one of the creatures is going to get zapped.

Instants:

Boros Charm: Here mainly to prevent board wipes, but its also useful if I have the opponent on the ropes and I can blast them for four or getting that double strike in on one of my creatures is nice also.

Magma Jet: Mostly here for digging, but great for removing things that are pesky early game creatures.

Druid's Deliverance: Because being able to prevent damage and then populate is always fun.

Selesnya Charm: Probably one of my favorite cards in standard right now because it has so many uses. Zap a big creature, beef up one of my own, or put out a creature token during my opponents end step. Beautiful!

Sorceries:

Call of the Conclave: Mostly here to get a blocker out early so I can build up towards things like Assemble the Legion or Elspeth, Sun's Champion. It also works great when I have a Druid's Deliverance in hand that way I can have a 3/3 creature out and then populate and prevent damage next turn.

Mizzium Mortars: Obvious choice for many reasons, this card has the ability to remove things early on because of its small mana cost for a single target, so when I see things like Fleecemane Lion, Loxodon Smiter or Blood Baron of Vizkopa I can quickly dispatch of them. Also With Xenagos, the Reveler I have the opportunity to wipe the others playing field. Great card!

Planeswalkers:

Elspeth, Sun's Champion: What really needs to be said about this, she is just badass.

Xenagos, the Reveler: Obvious choice when it comes to having Assemble the Legion and Elspeth, Sun's Champion in the deck. His ability to put out a free 2/2 haste creature and then gain tons of mana is great.

Creatures:

Purphoros, God of the Forge: With so many creatures coming in, I could possibly win the game without even having to swing at the opponent with this guy. 2 damage every time a creature enters the battlefield. That is going to get out of hand with Assemble the Legion and Elspeth, Sun's Champion on the battlefield.

Trostani, Selesnya's Voice: This card works simlarly to Purphuros, God of the Forge on it is giving me life rather than taking it from the enemy. With so many creatures coming into the battlefield my life gain will be helping me stay in the game.

Non-basic Land:

Grove of the Guardian: The thought of having an 8/8 vigilance creature token on the battlefield is great, also a small chance to populate and get another.

Sideboard

Boros Charm: Again here for board wipes

Druid's Deliverance: Mostly here for aggro decks. Because my deck needs a bit more time to get rolling and really gets cranking around turn 5 I need things that will hold aggro decks at bay for awhile, so this is great because I can prevent damage and increase the amount of creatures to block with.

Glare of Heresy: good to get rid of things like Voice of Resurgence, Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Ajani, Caller of the Pride.

Pithing Needle: Because everyone hates AEtherling and the only way to get rid of it is to make it so that it can' do anything.

Rootborn Defenses: Here for more board wipe prevention and being able to populate is always fun in this deck.

Sundering Growth: Good for removing things like Detention Sphere, Pithing Needle, and Ratchet Bomb because God knows those will probably be sideboarded in against this deck. Plus more populating.
