Tower of the Magistrate is the premier new card this time. After talking to Jeremy White and thinking about loss patterns, it is definitely worth one of my colorless mana source slots. I'm riding the edge here on colorless sources, though. Smash to Smithereens might be worth consideration as well.

The other main changes are Zo-Zu in the slot vacated by Sin Prodder, and a shift down of the average CMC. I'm running more Shocks than before, including an actual Shock (my first, cracked fresh from an Onslaught booster).

I'm not sure how I feel about Molten Rain. I think it is similar to Smash to Smithereens in that sense. The potential upside and downside are aggressively medium on both cards, but it is rare to play against decks where the downside is actually realized. Perhaps they are good to have in the box as tournament-to-tournament metagame calls, not as integral, structural components.

Last minute considerations:

Smash to Smithereens IN for some volcanic hammer effect OUT.

Arc Lightning, Slagstorm IN for Molten Rain, Pulse of the Forge (?) OUT.

Points:

Mox Ruby [3], Strip Mine [3]

Post-Mortem: Build was solid. Will carry forward the 'many shocks' plan.
