Aurelia, The Attack Phase Generator

Commander / EDH Angels Humans RW (Boros)

AwM

Oh hot damn, did you hear that? Malcolm is at it again! Everyone hold on to your butts, it's going to get rocky. For those who hate reading, there is a TLDR; down there for you.

So since Aurelia, the Warleader was leaked many moons ago, I thought I could make a deck that she lead my fleet of Angels and Humans into war. See what I did right there? You seem like a smart cookie, I bet you did! Now the only real question left was what direction did I want to take the deck in, so after much (read: very little) deliberation, I decided on...this.

Now you might be asking yourself: But Malcolm, what is "this?" and why is it the next best thing since Otto Frederick Rohwedder invented sliced bread? (That's 1928 for the folks playing from home.) Well Billy, I like you so I'll let you in on the grand secret with this deck. It's Attack Phases. You know those things you get one of between your first and second Main Phase? Where you use your creatures to attack your opponent and whatnot? Good, glad we're on the same page here. Where the average man only has one of these precious phases a turn, this deck gets up to four. (But three is far more common.)

For those of you sitting in the back of the class who might be wondering how I can achieve such a feat, I'll explain it with cool little hyper links right here, ready? Aurelia, the Warleader + World at War + Cloudshift. So lets paint a picture here, you're in your mid-late game and you have Aurelia, the Warleader out and primed for battle and World at War + Cloudshift in hand. During your Main Phase drop World at War like a hot potato and prepare for glory. First combat phase comes around and you attack with EVERYTHING YOU GOT. Except Aurelia, the Warleader. I know, I know, but just stay with me here. Oh look, Attack Phase numero dos rolls around and your creatures untap and their blockers are still tapped. This time when you attack with EVERYTHING YOU GOT, you actually do attack with Aurelia, the Warleader, triggering her ability and a third combat phase! Now lets say first you haven't won already and you're looking for more; if you have Akroma's Memorial out on the field you can use Cloudshift and BOOM, a brand new Aurelia, the Warleader with haste is out and ready to trigger yet another combat phase. That brings you up to four combat phases in one turn, feel like a master tactician yet? If you had Gisela, Blade of Goldnight you should, since she is making everything hit TWICE AS HARD.

If by some divine power your opponent is resilent like a cockroach in a nuclear wasteland to lose this game, guess what! World at War has that snazzy mechanic from Rise of the Eldrazi, Rebound! So your next turn you can do it again up to phase three! That is seven Attack Phases in two turns. Anyone still standing after is a Shining Golden God, or used Fog and Safe Passage .

Oh, I do suppose there are 96 other cards that aren't a part of this combo that I should mention. It contains the usual white detain, has some token spitting for flavor, does a bit of burn for good measure and puts plenty of +1/+1 counters on my creatures, it's just about good enough to write home about.

TLDR; Read the wall of text like a normal person. Learn the secrets of the Two Turn, Seven Attack Phase scroll that has been passed down from generation to generation from my people.
